I think this is a crock. Most of these assholes are twitter whores or hanging out on some kind of social media. That ain’t a loner. IMO

And some mass killers commit murder as a team with their closest friends (e.g. the Columbine killers, etc.).
The media should stop demonizing “loners.”
Most loners probably have a greater chance of becoming victims than becoming violent criminals.

I posted this earlier on a thread about how some school is being constructed to make it harder for shooters to operate inside the school:

The notion that murder will stop if you take away the firearm tool that can be used to kill is just daft. There are so many ways to stop the meat sacks we live in from working that it boggles the mind. “Mind” being the key word. Evil devoids that are going to kill are going to kill and they will find other means besides gunpowder.
I had the misfortune of crossing paths with a serial killer....Wayne Nance.
I went to the same high school as he did.
There was a series of murders in Missoula, MT.
Wayne Nance told my girlfriend that he had committed those murders.
She told me.
I told her to go to the school administrators because Wayne matched the description of the murderer.
She did and the police came and picked up Wayne.
They gave him a polygraph test and then released him.
I caught Wayne in the hallway at high school and stiff armed him to stop him.
I told him to stay away from my girlfriend.
Nothing from Wayne. He just walked around me.
A couple of days later, Wayne’s toady told me that Wayne didn’t like what I did and that he carried a big knife and would use it on me.
I told the toady to tell Wayne that if he pulled a knife on me, I’d take it from him and shove it up his ass.
I was in our school’s Martial Arts Club.
Never heard any more.
I am convinced that he meant to rape and kill my girlfriend.
He didn’t try.
He continued to kill. They keep finding new victims every few years.
Wayne wasn’t afraid of the police. They had him and let him go. He kept on killing.
Why didn’t he kill my girlfriend?
I believe it was because of fear.
He didn’t want a knife shoved up his ass.
That fear needs to reach all these jackass killers.

The police knew it all, but he continued to kill.
Fear will keep them from killing.

This isn’t going unless social media, the 24 hour news cycle, and smartphones go away. They sucked a lot of soul out of this country. That isn’t happening, so this isn’t going to stop.

Charles Whitman, I’ll take that question, as a retired police commander with over 30 years “street experience”: NO there is NOTHING that will STOP a vicious predator, who wants to commit a HORROR STORY from doing what he chooses UNLESS we are VERY lucky to have an ARMED & TRAINED person on-site to STOP him.

No one can predict when such a thing could happen. The only thing that will prevent it from becoming worse is when we are all allowed to carry a firearm as the Constitution allows us to. I’ve said here a number of times I don’t believe in any gun control laws. They don’t work, there isn’t anything what so ever in the 2nd. Amendment that says a permit is required and in and of themselves gun control laws are unconstitutional.
Allowing honest people to carry firearms everywhere is the best solution we will ever have to criminals and the mentally ill.
