I came to the conclusion some time ago, that we've passed the point of political solutions in this country.

The left and right will never reconcile with each other. We've essentially become two distinctly different cultures inhabiting the same land mass. The uneasy truce we're currently experiencing will not last.

Steel your spines and dredge up your courage. What's coming will not be for the faint of heart or weak of spirit.

I'm afraid the road back to where we came from is going to be filled with blood and tears.

If the few hundred Antifa that exist, riot and burn down their own leftists cities? So what?

If anything, that makes a Trump Presidency all the stronger.

If President Trump loses, It will take a while for the new President to do anything. In the meanwhile the economy will tank. People will lose jobs. The misery index will soar.

In two years, another election and the left loses both houses.

The Left might push gun control; very likely the Supreme Court will strike it down.

I do not see much blood in the streets, in either case.

That was the case in the first Republican-Democrat war. Both President Buchanan and Lincoln wanted an Article V Convention of States to resolve the slavery issue but by then it was too late to get enough states needed to convene . The mini convention that was called did come up with a compromise but because it was not binding they had that awful war deal with the issue.
We have already had the violence, Congressman Scalise was nearly assassinated and a propane tank was targeted for an explosion but the Antifa terrorist was killed. Article V can solve this but if the FUD monger's keep it from happening we will get Republican-Democrat war #2 and it will be much worse than the first.
