Alexander Vindman Was “Concerned.” So What?
DB Daily Update ^ | David Blackmon

Posted on 10/29/2019 2:31:02 PM PDT by EyesOfTX

Is that really all there is? – Some low-level flunky in the U.S. diplomatic corps claims to have been “concerned” about the July 25 call between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, and therefore we are supposed to support the Democrats’ ongoing impeachment circus?

Yeaaaahhhhhh….no. Not buying any of it. Sorry.

God bless Mr. Vindman for his military service, but can we please get him out of our diplomatic service? Because, obviously his feelings are far too fragile to be a part of that difficult line of work.

Literally, the only thing Vindman said in his opening statement that was leaked by Adam Schiff to the media last night that in any way benefits the public discourse over this matter was when he confirmed that the transcript of it, which we have all been able to read and obsess over for the last five weeks, is a completely accurate recitation of what was said on the call. Here’s that key passage from his statement:

On July 25, 2019, the call occurred. I listened in on the call in the Situation Room with colleagues from the NSC and the office of the Vice President. As the transcript is in the public record, we are all aware of what was said.

Yes, we are all aware of what was said, and those of us whose level of reading comprehension is better than that of the average 6 year-old can plainly see that there was literally nothing wrong with anything the President of the United States said on that call.

Given all of that, why was Mr. Vindman even called to testify before the Schiff Soviet-style inquisition? Why, so that he could dress up in his uniform with all of his medals on it and parade into the hearing room, pausing to pose for all of the media cameras, and give the Democrats who spent 8 years defunding the military and the VA under Obama a chance to pretend to give a damn about the U.S. armed services for a day.

But once the one-man parade is over and his uniform and medals are put back into his closet – Vindman does not wear his uniform to his actual daily job – all we are left with from Vindman’s testimony is what we already knew: That this is all a sham and a farce over nothing. It’s the political version of an episode of “Seinfeld,” only without the funny parts.

In other impeachment-related news, House Majority Whip Stenny Hoyer is now backing off of Pelosi’s promise that the Democrats will hold a vote on their fancy new fake resolution by the end of this week. Pelosi had said Monday night that she expects the vote to take place on Thursday, but Hoyer is now not so sure, saying “We’re going to have to consider whether or not it’s ready to go on Thursday. I hope that’s the case.”

Oh. What does that tell us? It tells us that Pelosi, Hoyer and the rest of the Democrat House Circus Clown leadership are waiting to see some polling data on this whole resolution thing before they take it to a vote. It also tells us that they are obviously still getting pushback on the question from many of their most vulnerable members who represent traditionally Republican districts.

San Fran Nan can’t and won’t make the move to cross this particular road until all her ducks are in a row, and some of the little duckies don’t want to get in line for fear they might end up being road kill.

That is all.

Col. Vindman? I’m sorry, but you seem to have been asleep in your high school civics course when they covered the part of the Constitution where they told you that it is the President of the United States who sets Foreign Policy, not some minor functionary in the National Security Advisor’s office, which is not even mentioned in the Constitution except, perhaps, in passing as one of the incidental presidential advisors—keyword, “advisors” which advise the president who has the final say on any matter of policy.

In case you aren’t getting it, I am referring to you, Col. Vindman.

Demoncrats are up in arms because republicans question the testimony of a soldier. Meanwhile Hillary calls Tulsi Gabbard a Russian asset.

Double chin on an LTC whose touting diplomatic experience tells me someone did not get a batallion command and thinks being a Foreign Area Officer will grease the skids into a post-Army govt career.

As to Mr. Vindman’s “concern”. I would strongly suggest that he try to keep in mind that he is still subject the the standards and laws set forth under the UCMJ. Seems to me that fact of life should get a bit more of his “concern” than whatever “sweet nothings” that Adam Schiff-For-Brains might have whispered in his ear.

I am concerned that he is concerned. Perhaps someone else will be concerned that I am concerned that he is concerned.

He’s not a full colonel.

He didn’t go to civics class, he’s a Ukrainian. He went to soviet Russian class as the Commissar.

He should be court martialed and put in front of a firing squad.

Remember when the dems trying to railroad Reagan called Oliver North in to testify and he showed up in uniform ('how dare he?!') and the public lined up 100% behind him, ruining the dems dream of making him a villain in their pantomime?

They are hoping to reverse that here with their own Colonel that they expect will make Americans reflexively support him. There is a big difference: Oliver North testified in public, on TV. This guy testified inside a secret room and we only know what he said via selective leaks. That makes a BIG difference.

I have it on good authority that this member of the armed forces is not concerned:

The LtCol may have violated his oath. Yes the oath says support and defend the constitution but he also swore to “obey the orders of the President of the United States and officers appointed over me” or words to that effect. It is my understanding that as the Chief Executive the President has issued a directive forbidding those under the executive branch from testifying. This was a heated topic of discussion the other night, because the personnel from State testifying should have been stopped.

If what was argued is true the LtCol disobeyed that directive, and eroded the Presidents executive privilege. I can understand not going after State personnel, but this LtCol should receive a Letter if Reprimand from the President and be transferred to a desk at the Pentagon until the impeachment process has run its course because he may now be a material witness against the CinC.

No way should he remain at NSC. There are a thousands ways to now end his career and that of his brother who he injected into this via his statement. The brother should be transferred to someplace like the JRIC at Fort Sheridan, IL. Where he is available to Congress but out of NSC and anything to do with The Ukraine.

Does this guy have a dual commission in the Ukrainian army? I think we will all be surprised when we see how deeply corrupt the Obama foreign service office in the Ukraine really was. Biden’s ham handed money grab is small potatoes.

The in places ones seem to be in unison. The underpass people are holding new signs now: “Will be concerned for transcripts for food”

(not really, but I expect dem neighborhood organizers to bring those signs any day now)

1) Hoyer is probably backing off the Thursday vote, not while awaiting polling data, but because he can count. If Pelosi’s scam bill fails to pass, does end the “impeachment inquiry”? Sure ought to.

2) So Col. Vindman was “concerned” by what he heard in the call. WHAT exactly was he concerned about? The article does not reveal that; did the hearing? Was he concerned that the Ukrainians would end some corruption and/or reveal crimes committed by American politicians and their bagman offspring?

3) Isn’t preventing Ukraine from revealing the truth the main reason for the impeachment inquiry? The Dems want to make the Trump administration into a tar-baby that Ukraine will hide from at all costs.

Now why would he be so concerned about Trump”s pressing for an investigation of corruption?
