So, is this DC district the only place in the USA that these, what seven?, alleged ‘crimes’ were allegedly committed???

Most of them were (the charges of lying to Congress, for example). And when a crime is committed in more than one district, the prosecution gets to pick which one it's indicted in. (Ronald Reagan's DOJ perfected this art-- when they started prosecuting obscenity cases, which had been moribund since the 1960s, there was one case in which a pornographic movie had been made in Los Angeles and shown in New York City, and the DOJ indicted everyone involved with the movie in Mississippi, because one print of the film had passed through a post office there. Nothing that creative was used in Stone's case, though.)

A defendant can always move for a change of venue (though the trial judge gets a fair amount of leeway in whether to grant it). Stone didn't ask for a change of venue. You'll have to ask his lawyer why not.
