If you still dont understand exactly how power-mad the Democrats in congress truly are, will the fact that they are now spying on and doxxing fellow members of congress help to convince you? We here at the Campaign Update have repeatedly invoked comparisons of conduct of the ongoing impeachment clown show by Adam Schiff, Gerrold Nadler and Nancy Pelosi to the basement interrogations and show trials that we used think only happened in Stalinist Soviet Russia and other totalitarian regimes.
We have made those comparisons for good reason: Because they are entirely accurate, right down to Schiffs conducting of witness interrogations in an actual basement and selectively leaking only the parts of the interviews he wanted for public consumption. Now we have news that we would have thought simply impossible in a constitutional republic just a handful of years ago, news that Schiff has actually been researching metadata records collected by the intelligence community and culling through it in an effort to spy on Republican members of congress.
Nunes appeared on Fox News with the constantly-interrupting Martha MacCallum on Thursday evening to explain exactly the process that Schiff used in his spying operation and the motives behind doing so. Given that the clip below contains subtitles for all the studious readers out there, I did not take the time to try to build a transcript of it:
It is important to understand exactly how unprecedented this situation is. Schiffs actions, if they go unpunished by Pelosi and the Democrat-majority House Ethics Committee now set the precedent of a sitting Speaker approving one member of congress literally spying on the activities of another. It is completely beyond the pale. Sadly, and they surely will go unpunished since the Dems on that Committee are every bit as corrupt as Schiff, and Schiff certainly had Pelosis approval before going down this road.
Schiff and Pelosi, by using this method no doubt at the urging of their outside Lawfare Alynskyite lawyers now open the door for future GOP majorities and speakers and committee chairs to employ the exact same sorts of tactics. Think of it as open warfare and imagine how the tensions and retaliatory actions will escalate over time.
Schiff and Pelosi also went after and received the records of journalist John Solomon, who has become a social outcast among his corrupt media peers for filing a series of extraordinarily well-sourced reports on the Ukraine situation, reports that actually follow the rules of ethical journalism that have been almost outlawed now in the corrupt national news media. Had Nunes and then-Speaker Paul Ryan gone after some hack at the New York Times during the previous two years, the media would have been in full outrage mode for years. But because this is a case of Democrats going after an actual working journalist, the response from the media establishment has been crickets.
This is a truly frightening development for our country. We now have the majority party in one house of congress actively spying on members of the minority party and members of the press, and placing the results of their spying into a formal committee report. Even more frightening is the fact that the press which is supposed to serve as the publics watchdog holding abusive politicians accountable is as a group sitting in Pelosis lap begging her to give another scratch of its collective head with her gnarly fingers.
What this all tells us is that the Democrats and their media toadies view this impeachment effort as an all-or-nothing game. They view President Trump as a truly existential threat to their bases of power and corrupt way of life and are willing to go to any lengths to rid him from their midst.
Despite all the seemingly comforting words coming from some GOP members of the Senate, no one should just assume that the Republican majority there will hold together and kill this atrocity of an impeachment effort once it falls into their laps. After all, if the Democrats have no compunction against spying on their fellow members of the House, do you think they would hesitate for a moment to take similar actions against vulnerable GOP members of the Senate?
Remember: This is the party of the Clintons we are talking about here.
The next few months are a very dangerous time for our country. Dont kid yourselves otherwise.
That is all.
This is why this report coming out out next week needs to have indictments. This Schitt punk needs to be slapped.
Every time a democrat raises the bar of egregiousness without consequence, they are emboldened.
The answer, of course, is not to fight their fire with similarly corrupt fire, but the answer is most definitely to fight. Being smart about it, being right, and being ever persistent... eventually the wall of silence by the main stream media will be broken
RE Imperils us all:
It does indeed. It’s reprehensible, and it’s criminal.
So.... when does he go to jail? When does he get made an example of?
If not, then law is meaningless, and NONE of us have to follow ANY law Schiff and folks like him pass.
You have to wonder if the Democrats are looking askance at Shifty about now
I absolutely can’t stand Martha McCallum. Any time someone is sticking up for Trump she turns into a scowling little scold. She belongs on MSNBC or CNN, not at a real news network.
Given the intelligence community is neck deep in the swamp, I'm surprised they didn't give him transcripts.
- or maybe they did and he's just not revealing that...
Weren’t they surveilling Lev Parnas and Rudy Giuliani and the fact that Nunes had been working with both of them came out of that? Nunes the man who has backed warrantless wiretaps to the hilt?
“””””I absolutely cant stand Martha McCallum. Any time someone is sticking up for Trump she turns into a scowling little scold”””””
Yup, nasty ho. She does not do a good job of hiding how much she hate President Trump.
Maybe the party elders are in on the coup. Maybe they are just too old and clueless and besotted with high end scotch to recognize that the world outside their DC power club bubble isn't the chummy world of 1960 anymore.
Do you really think that “Schittless” Schiff cares? All he and the other Political Elitists in Congress (Both House and Senate, and Dems. & Reps.) want is to destroy our duly elected President to have power and control over us. Not one of them care ay all about the American People and only want to destroy our Constitutional Republic and replaced with a socialist/communist regime that will steal everything from us and take it for themselves.
he brags that he is above all others,
shows it by lying and flaunting phone records...
and no one in Congress protests of substance (again).
so he is above all others. all can see that.
but why the arrogance,
and no fear of demonstrating saliently
that he can lie anytime,
and anytime override SCOTUS’ upholding of the 4th Amendment.
what other crimes are behind him
which further empower him.
Yes. If the FISA report comes out and is toothless, then I think everything is lost. At some point, we need to name names and go after Democrats who have done wrong. Now if the time. If not now, then when?
She really needs to go and she needs to have the door hit her squarely on her ass.
Sorry, nice try, but the media doesn’t see it this way.
I thought the report was only discovery and recommendations.
Can it have teeth?
For me, this is the biggest story of the week, on many levels. But the bottom line is that he is actively getting dirt on his enemies, both in government and the private sector, and he is doing it in broad daylight.
This is yet another example of Schiff, et al projecting. It is THEY who are abusing their powers. It is THEY who are getting dirt on opponents at all costs - and then accusing their opponents of it.
Schiff should be impeached. And he should then be convicted and spend time in prison.
And with all of this is happening right in their front yard, just what is being done in the GOP held Senate about this?
Where is the outrage by our Republican Senators?
Where are the republican lawsuits being filed in court?
A.G. Barr and FBI Director Wray, their silence indicates to me that everything that the Democrats do, is perfectly fine and within the law.
I'm hoping that it has actionable information that provides a reasonable basis for the AG to say, "Based on the information in this report, I am indicting the following people
IG cannot indict, only recommend for prosecution. It would take the DOJ appointing a federal prosecutor to indict and convene a grand jury, I believe.
