Theres no denying that the healthcare system in the United States has been at the forefront of national discourse in the midst of the democratic presidential primaries. Of course, largely due to the fact that Bernie Sanders has made it his mission to draw attention to and change the fundamental brokenness of the current system. Now it should come as no surprise that calls for an overhaul of the way health insurance is provided such as Bernies Medicare For All plan have been met with staunch resistance not just from the left, but the more moderate, corporate friendly wing of the Democratic Party as well.

I’m just fine with our private ins. healthcare.
I have Medicare as my primary, and my secondary is United Health Care through NY State as a retiree. I have no complaints at all. I had four abdominal surgeries from 2010 to 2015, and never had to pay anything to the hospital...not even a co-pay. I also have prescription coverage through NY’s Empire Plan, and my medications cost me $5.00 or less. I’m in my 17th year of retirement.

I am new to medicare, so my comment really related to my experiences under private care. But I bet far more people agree with your perspective than are opposed to it.
