I have a few Swiss ones also. I’m not a reloader but do have battle packs of GP-11.

7.62x54R is a good round. Been around a long time, does its intended job quite well. I think I remember reading that it is the longest serving military cartridge in history.

You need a 91/59 carbine now. I remember when a batch of those came in to an online dealer (Classic Firearms). They looked great and all had blonde stocks. I waited just a hair too long and they were sold out. That was probably 2009 and was the last time I ever saw a batch get imported.

I ran across one at the local gun store about 7 or 8 years ago. I said “Here, take my money!”
1943 izzy armory. It looked new, never fired, full of cosmoline. Blond stock. It chambers and fires the Czech low recoil ammo very well.

“...longest serving military cartridge...”
Believe it was introduced around 1890 or ‘91.
Got our .30-06 beat by 16 years...
That’s typical Russian, though - If it works, use the living Hell of it until it doesn’t work anymore.
Can’t fault them on that...

Dont judge the cover by the looks.
Ah damn I got over-excited clicking links to new tabs and picked one of the AM Shooting ones :/ Most Mosins are not that accurate, they need some work to really be that good at far distances. That said, I bought one when Cabela's had their $100 sale, and it's certainly a fun one to shoot!

Slams steel at 944 yards sans glass with whose eyes?
Or is literally a barn size target
Have you not read the AM Shooting Journal before? He posts tons of these and they're always full of grammatical and spelling errors, and a decent number of make-believe crap like what you caught. A person-sized target is hard enough to see at 300yards, much less 900+. (944 yards is just over half a mile.)

When it works... you use it.
You keep ON using it until it doesn’t work...
Then you fix it and use it some more!!!
It’s a chunky, funky wonderful piece of wood and steel hardware.

I would not be surprised if Wolf Ammo is making their version of the 7N1 ammo.

Ive got a 1932 Tusla. Bore is a bit ugly but it still shoots well.
