LOL.
2. "You have no idea what they really think of Fauci"
I never said I did.
I showed where they explained where they said with the information available at the time, they would have done the same as Dr. Fauci.
That means, THEY SAID THEY WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME AS DR. FAUCI IN THIS CASE.
What they actually said, is much different than the tone implied in the article.
"I made specific factual claims about Faucis blundering."
I have no responsibility to respond to all your foul mouthed accusations, which if you posted in full here would have likely been pulled.
3. "How do you explain that?"
Nice change of subject there. The Medical community is not up in arms about that NEJM article. There are reasons for that, such as they are doctors who understand medicine. The decision to lock down/shelter in place and social distancing was based on how China and Italy and how the countries first affected were handling Covid-19, when the death rate was high. It was not based on models or WHO recommendations at all, despite what some want to believe.
When a new disease pops up all over the planet and people start dying rapidly, governments get scared, deal with it, then calm down and take a look at it when it seems safe enough. We are approaching safe enough now. It real life, institutions, decisions, and governments do not change at the speed of the latest news on the Internet.
Is Dr Fauci responsible for the decisions of 180 governments? All those doctors, leaders, public health administrators aren't making their own decisions based on their own judgment? To ignore what other countries are doing independently of the U.S. is willful ignorance and attempting to manufacture paranoia.
