Beautiful cloud-free day in East Tennessee...motorcycles and bicycles everywhere...traffic appears normal for such a nice day. Not a mask in sight in the stores. Kabobs on the grill...yum!

Last week I posted that same thing, using the word, “horrible”, and was ridiculed. I was told that “horrible” is over the top. I stick by it, though; the one time I wore one WAS horrible (and mandatory).

It’s not just the mask..although..i cough more when i wear them and my nose/sinuses run more..but it’s the going through a maze just to pick up a few groceries.

You are the idiot if you think wearing a mask is dumb. Not only is it a constant reminder NOT to touch your face, but it keeps you from breathing in aerosolized droplets. All of the tests have shown Covid can remain in the air for hours. It lives in ducts in air conditioning and continues to spread/infect. Wearing a mask is simply prudent when facing such. If nothing else, it is also a way to minimize spread as asymptomatic carriers are not spewing droplets everywhere.
Analogy. Picture Everyone in a group naked. If one guy pees others will get wet immediately. If one guy is wearing pants he gets a little wet. If the pee er and the pee ee are both wearing pants, only the pee er is wet. Masks work!

I KNOW!! Isn’t it WONDERFUL? I took my book to the screen porch and hung out with the kitties. Hubby is preparing to take his monster telescope tonight, hoping the clouds stay away. So pretty.
Just one point - “they” are the socialists.
The six foot separation is what is irritating me. I was waiting in line to enter Home Depot. Most people were keeping their 6 foot separation except for the group behind me. If they were to get any closer to me I would have expected them to buy me dinner and flowers. I wanted to buy a 6 foot long 2x4 that I could swing and if I hit anyone it would be their own fault.
No but it only takes one.
And that one person who is sick, isn’t going to think they are sick either, because they are asymptomatic, until they develop symptoms.
If everyone wears a mask, then all of the sick people will have a mask on.
I have lung issues, though you wouldn't know it to look at me. And I still have to go get groceries from time to time.
I think it shows an uncaring attitude when people refuse to wear a mask when going out where they will be near others, such as in businesses. Especially seeing that a person can have the virus and not have symptoms.
In Texas it has never been an edict to wear a mask, so I can understand that some viewpoints may be colored by governments in some places forcing them.
That being said, if there's a chance it can stop the spread to a vulnerable person, why not show consideration (or Christian love) to others?
According to the article, I'm meaner and dumber for thinking that. Meh.

Not so much a leap from requiring someone to wear a mask to shop in their store to, oh I don’t know, making it mandatory that every woman wear a Burka? Or is wearing the mask the new Mark of the beast? Conditioning…
