I don't believe her....I've seen enough people trying to keep alive people that are truly dying to know that some nurses don't’ have an understanding of when it's time to let people go.
I had a family member who was dying and because she was a nurse for many years she knew what to watch for as the body shows particular clues it's shutting down in the process of dying. It was pretty amazing as

I was able to keep my mother in her home with the assistance of two paid caregivers. I lived in too so I could supervise my mother’s care. The women I hired were professional, respectful of my mother, attentive, and kind to both of us.
They were from a private nursing service and were better at their jobs than the first hospice service I contracted with. They were terrible and I replaced them with another after just a few weeks. The private caregivers were with us through it all. God bless them!
