Clearly, the university is showing the crap studies that aren’t needed....
Well, every cloud has its silver lining.
Wow. Sh!t just got real.
LMAO
They could close the political science department and layoff those professors too.
I bet the kind professor would have rather seen the STEP professors canned.
Lol
You watch the sjw’s will throw a sh!t fit. The Administration will apologize and reinstate the professors.
They’ll most likely sue the University, and probably win. And be entitled to back pay, plus damages.
The students will be better off if they drop those courses altogether.
This appears to already be happening.
FTA:
“Over 3,000 members of the Ohio University community have signed a petition that calls on the university to reinstate the professors. Entire academic programs, including African-American Studies and Womens, Gender, and Sexuality Studies are facing elimination. Faculty have been excluded almost entirely from the decision-making process, the petition reads.”
I think a lot of these departments are going to go bye bye. The Ohio governor announced major cuts to higher education today.
“... universitys custodial, groundskeeping, and maintenance departments..”
They don’t have tenure?
Of what use is a degree in crap studies, unless of course you are actively flaming the fires of resentment. If you have no on campus students to incite, then what is the point?
Well, I guess that’s a silver lining to a ruined economy and trillions of dollars of additional debt.
Only “essential businesses” are open under shut down orders. These are non-essential in any circumstances. Welcome to the real working world, hate-mongers— your education was a waste of time.
I think there is going to be a lot of whining across the land about cuts to these types of programs, but at the end of the day math wins.
The numbers of students majoring in these programs and the average starting salary obtained by graduates will be pointed out, as well as how many such programs exist at state universities.
Other programs will be cut as well. Even an engineering program here and there will be cut—the lowest performing engineering program in a given state’s public university system is not necessarily safe.
All the ones who advocated for the extreme lock down measures. What goes around, comes around.
The students will be better off if they drop those courses altogether.
Maybe if the requirement gets changed, then I will will believe them.
