Ping for Garden Gun/ .22 shotshell article.
Ha! I guess it works but is funny looking. And you need some room to maneuver that thing in the garden.
I used to carry a Single Six with the .22 mag cylinder. The first shot was a CCI shot cartridge.
They were pure poison on snakes up to around 10 feet. After that, mostly useless.
That set up ensures that you maintain the correct social distance from the varmint before shooting it.
Why not just use a pistol?

Remington promoted their Mo-Skeet-o minature trap with the "Routledge Girls".
Since you are getting the improved patterns with a 30” overbore tube, it might make more sense to put the tube on a pistol?
A pistol with a 34” barrel might be less unwieldy than a rifle with 5 foot barrel?
Before I spent too much time on 5 foot plastic 22 cal barrels, I would design a choke tube to screw on the end of a 22 cal rifle.
A ‘jug choke’ isn’t that hard to make and it would look less goofy than a 5 foot barrel.
Is this also quieter? Asking for a friend.
Dean, for some reason I'm having trouble understanding this statement. I would think a thick walled tube would be more rigid than a thin walled tube. If you're basing it on weight, then obviously the thick walled tube would be shorter than a thin walled tube of the same weight. What am I missing?
