Three Democratic members of the Staunton, Virginia, city council were ousted by Republicans on Tuesday despite receiving more votes than they did four years ago.
Republican candidates Mark Robertson, Amy Darby, and Steve Claffey all joined incumbent Andrea Oakes in a four-seat GOP sweep, WHSV reported. The three incoming council members replaced Democratic incumbents Erik Curren, Ophie Kier, and James Harrington all almost doubled their vote totals from 2016, yet still lost.

Staunton City voted for the Butcheress of Benghazi over Trump by a margin of just 47.4% to 45.6% in 2016 (51.1% for Zero to 47% for Willard the Rat in 2012).
Last went GOP for President in 2004: 60% for Shrub to 39% for Lurch.

The media is telling me to look forward to Pres Biden and VP Stacy Abrahms. These results cant be correct. Something is wrong.

The situation will be reversed when Biden names Stacy as his running mate. Her coattails alone are enough to cover all the Democratic candidates and then some!

There's two Virginias, unfortunately. There's the real one, which is heavily Republican blue (far away from the cities) and then there's Red Communist Dem NoVA, which holds the rest of the Republican Commonwealth hostage.
2016 Presidential race. You can see that Hillary won only a small amount of areas in red. Trump took the overwhelming rest of the state in blue.
