Minnesotas still burning, and it is no surprise. Yesterday at around 5:00 CT, I gazed and listened in wonder at what can only be described as the single least effective law enforcement press conference ever to appear on national television. Heres what I posted on Facebook as the presser concluded:
I dont know if any of yall are watching this press conference in Minneapolis right now, but these FBI/Minnesota law enforcement people are only making this situation worse. There will definitely be more rioting in that city tonight. This is the least effective law enforcement presser I have ever witnessed.
[End]
Participants in this presser included the local U.S. Attorney, Erica McDonald; the local FBI special agent in charge (SAC), whose name I did not get; an official with the Minnesota Bureau of Apprehension; and Mike Freeman, the local County Attorney. These folks had two objectives to achieve at this press conference: 1) to provide assurance that the investigation into the police killing of George Floyd was in competent hands and was proceeding quickly; and 2) to reassure the angry public that has been burning the city since Wednesday that justice will be swift and sure.
Unfortunately, neither goal was accomplished. Not remotely. And so we saw these scenes overnight:
It is complete chaos. No fewer than three police precinct stations have been burned.
Only Ms. McDonald delivered any messages that were remotely reassuring, and her role in all of this is purely secondary even though she led the conference. This was a murder, which is a state and local crime; the feds are only there to investigate civil rights violations and other potential federal crimes.
Instead of being reassured that justice will be done, the mostly-Black rioters were treated to a parade of pasty-white Minnesotans standing before the cameras, all saying they need more time, and all making excuses for why the four bad cops responsible for the killing are not already in jail and charged with a major crime. County Attorney Freeman even went so far as to outrageously state that he has evidence that no crime was committed despite the fact that the entire incident was unambiguously caught on video that everyone not living in a cave has now witnessed.
To be clear: Nothing these officials said would have had any effect on the Antifa and Black Lives Matters agitators who are being paid by Democrat funders to inflame the situation. Nothing would placate the radical Islamist activists who live in Ilhan Omars district where much of the rioting is taking place who are using this situation as an excuse to create havoc in their own community.
But these activists cant succeed unless the public at large is already angry, and the participants in last nights press conference only made them angrier. As Trey Gowdy told Fox News Host Martha MacAllum, there is no good reason why those police officers have not already been arrested and charged. If they werent cops, they certainly would have been.
That is up to County Attorney Freeman and the states Bureau of Apprehension. Those folks had better get moving, because this situation is only going to continue to get worse until they do.
And this crap doesnt help. Ill defend President Donald Trump until my fingers bleed and there is nothing that could make me pull a lever for a Democrat in November, but tweets like this one are not in any way advisable or helpful:

That was all fine until the sloganeering about looting and shooting. How ridiculous and sad that he chose to do that on the very same day that he signed his well-grounded executive order denying Twitter and other big social media platforms liability protections under the Communications Decency Act.
With radical Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey a worthless emotional wreck and governor Tim Walz having zero clue about what to do here, the rioters and the activists urging them on are fully in charge of a major American city.
This is what George Soross America looks like. Get a good look at it.
The Feds will be coming in today. POTUS can order them into action if governor does not.
But that's not a fact. The officer was wearing black gloves, which made it appear that his hand were in his pockets. If you look close at a high definition picture, you can tell the difference. Also, if you watch the full video, you will see him moves his arm, and it shows his hand was not in his pocket.
And this highlights a key point. What we think we see is not always what actually occurred. Until a cause of death has been released, we don't know for sure how Floyd died. Let's see more of the facts before we make final conclusions.
I agree with your point, but to set the record straight, the officer was wearing black gloves. In the video, it appeared his hand was in his pocket, but once in a while he moved the hand and you could clearly see the glove. In no way does this mitigate what officer did, just saying.
Yep.
Maybe he thought Mr. Floyd had some sort of top-secret SEAL training that would enable him to get out of any hold, even while cuffed behind his back.
Small minds think alike, they dont have any room to grow.
What I think is that all the facts are not in, and I'm not making a conclusion. That's all.
You beat me to it. I was thinking the same thing.
These riots are just one symptom of America's Rat controlled cities. This problem started long ago and is a result of hundreds of progressive policies and decisions made in the past. The same lack of intellect is now coming to bear, or should I write, not to bear on these riots. The people who voted for these Rats are rioting over what they voted for, and they will continue to vote for the same Rats, or some equally exchangeable piece of human excrement.
“2) to reassure the angry public that has been burning the city since Wednesday that justice will be swift and sure.”
They aren’t the “angry public” they are thugs, rioters, and looters. If you bothered to watch the videos of the looting and arson tearing my old neighborhood apart you would have noticed that these thugs are all colors. My bet is that NONE of them actually live in that neighborhood, and probably a fair number of them aren’t even residents of Minnesota.
You also didn’t have to start stirring the racial pot by referring to “pasty white Minnesotans”, you didn’t refer to the rioters and looters, the actual criminals in this case as “black as tar” or any other pejorative about their color.
Media template:
Violent disturbance in Minneapolis = “justifiable outrage”.
Peaceful protest in Ann Arbor to reopen businesses = “domestic terrorism”.
Swearing in as a Congressman on the Koran.
The peaceful protest already occurred: “He can’t breathe, bro, get off him bro.”
Justice has already been exercised: “You killed a man? You’re fired!”
Arrest them all now no face masks!
Minnesota has been axe-ing for this for 60 years.
The Attorney General of Minnesota
Trey Gowdy is a useless tool.
You may be right, or you may be giving the sheeple too much credit. To my eyes, it appears the opportunists (race baiters, antifa, looter guys) have jacked the death of George Floyd.
*I was unable to find html for dogfeces, sorry
Where is the Minneapolis police chief? Conspicuously absent from news reports. Isn’t the police chief responsible for the actions of the police force? The training, the procedures?
I saw burka’s in the crowds..
