I read an excellent first person account of Eichmann’s capture by Peter Z. Malkin, the Mossad agent who grabbed him. The book is called “Eichmann In My Hands’’.
The Israeli government provided a Christian minister to Eichmann while he was in custody. The minister wrote a book about the visits and their discussions. Eichmann never accepted responsibility nor exhibited remorse.

As much as I have read exhaustively on the Nazis and The Holocaust I can't fathom for the life of me what drove the German people to commit the horror they did. I'll never understand how a supposedly cultured people could stoop to the level of barbarism and depravity that they did.
I have that book and have reread it. Excellent book. Picked it up at our local library sale for $1 when, sadly, they decided it had been checked out so little recently that it was time to clear it out.
