In early June, as controversy swirled over a high-profile study of hydroxychloroquine and COVID-19, Christian Funck-Brentano started receiving aggressive emails, texts and tweets.
Funck-Brentano, professor of medicine and clinical pharmacology at Sorbonne Université and Pitié-Salpêtrière University Hospital in Paris, and a colleague had published an editorial in The Lancet alongside the study purportedly based on data from a company called Surgisphere citing the results and sounding an alarm about the cardiac risks of hydroxychloroquine. Within days, that paper was retracted, along with a paper in The New England Journal of Medicine about different medications also allegedly based on Surgisphere data....

Lance the boil.
Funck-Brentano? That’s what I said.
The Lancet is a shitrag.
And has been for decades.
So, as you said - Funck him...
H/T to FReeper posterchild for the reference.
Lancet proved it was just a source of fake news on behalf of the NeverTrumpers
Are there enough jail cells in the country to hold all of these people?
The Left loves to re-write history.
The aim was to stop HCQ cold in it’s tracks. And they did.
Lance is not about medicine anymore. It’s a about politics.
I just commented on another thread about this one bogus study editorial by Lancet. Sheesh, almost the entire world is getting results from HCQ. What’s it going to take for FDA to let go? Oh right, they’re bureaucrats. I don’t understand why Trump doesn’t instruct the FDA to release restrictions. How much more anecdotal evidence does he need, not to mention conflicting studies that show results?
The Funck you say!
The Lancet study is STILL being cited by TDS dingbats.
Probably not, but existing jail cells can be supplemented with jail barge and jail tent cities. Once we need more prisons instead of mere jails, we can supplement with: prison barges, prison tent cities, paying countries in South American to build prison hut cities and house our prisoners for us, and fining and civil asset forfeituring malefactors into oblivion, giving some of the lessor ones suspended felony sentences but leaving them no place to work but the vegetable fields.
Tagline
Short of an out-and-out war, they don’t care how many people die, or how many economies they destroy. Trump is ending everything they have and have worked for. We’re talking hundreds of trillions of dollars between the 13 families.
Did Stalin, Mao, or Pol Pot worry about collateral damage?
H/T to the student at Georgetown. I never heard the term until he used it and then I looked it up.
