It dropped below 10%. That much positive movement in the midst of these lockouts and lockdowns IS good news. Why do you diss this good news?
Considering California (4th largest economy) remains locked down, NY remains locked down (10th largest economy) along with NJ, NC, IL, MA, OR, WA, etc...it’s a miracle.
This unemployment rate is good news because the trend is going in the right direction. Do you honestly not see that? I don’t think anyone is saying we should settle for that long term. I don’t see why you would shake your head at this news, considering that in the past few months the economic news was much worse.
