WisGOP: Democrats concerned Gov. Evers (D, WI) is a liability

[Madison, WI] – In scathing interviews with POLITICO, Wisconsin Democrats are ripping Governor Tony Evers for his weak response to the Kenosha riots earlier this summer. Evers’ sleepy actions led one Democrat interviewed to question, “Is he governing? Because it doesn’t feel like it.” Now Democrats fear that Evers’ feckless leadership might drag Joe Biden down in November.

Meanwhile, Republicans in Wisconsin have built one of their strongest ground games ever during a presidential election year.

Excerpts:

Dems fear Wisconsin governor is becoming liability for Biden Natasha Korecki - POLITICO - September 17, 2020

Tony Evers pulled off one of the Democratic Party’s biggest feats of 2018: ousting liberal villain Scott Walker after earlier attempts to take out the Wisconsin governor fell short.

But having one of their own atop the critical 2020 battleground isn’t turning out to be the boon that Democrats hoped or expected.

Evers is drawing heat from some in his own party for not moving quickly enough to tamp down rioting in Kenosha. Like Walker before him, Evers is facing a nascent effort to recall him from office. He’s been steamrolled by Republicans who dominate the legislature and have repeatedly blocked his initiatives, including police reform.

And while Evers is still above water in polls, his approval rating slid 6 points after his handling of the Kenosha unrest.

But interviews with more than two dozen activists, strategists, local officials and voters surfaced serious concern that in such a pivotal year, in such a pivotal state, Evers is diminishing what should be a significant advantage for the party. Rather than act as an attack dog or savvy politico who helps amplify Joe Biden’s message to combat President Donald Trump, they say, Evers instead has allowed Republicans to cast him as weak and ineffective.

“I don’t think that he has his pulse [on] what is going on in this state. He doesn’t have a forceful personality. He doesn’t have, in my view, the qualities of a great leader and that’s what we need now,” said Terry Rose, a former county supervisor and Democratic Party chair in Kenosha County. “We need a Winston Churchill, not a Neville Chamberlain.”

Well, Evers IS 'weak and ineffective!' That's a FACT.

Looking forward to him being ONE AND DONE!

And...don’t be calling his office right now! He naps between 1-3pm, then he goes home from his hard day at ‘work.’ ;)

Thanks to 30000 ballots that showed up in Milwaukee after 100% of the votes had been tabulated.

Watched election night 2018. With 98% of vote in, it went back and forth with Evers and Walker never changing more than a 1,000 each way. It was Walker up 57, then down 201, etc. etc. Then around 2:30 am, Evers goes up 30,000 votes and never looked back. I love Walker and assumed he would be the one Republican who would make a stand and fight the fraud after winning 3 elections for governor including a recall election. Not sure if its Madison or Milwaukee, but I read that Scott, who always gets crushed in that city, lost by Twice the amount he had lost the previous 3 races. Of course, I thought Trump would do something about it too, but he is clearly clueless and relies on the same useless Republican party that hates him to deal with election fraud.

Yes, it was disheartening, but Scott Walker is on to bigger and better things for now - plus he doesn't get nearly as many Death Threats on a daily basis, I'm sure.

We miss him, but he will be back on the National Stage, again.

No doubt in my Military Mind that the election was stolen, but I don't blame him for not fighting it. He did MORE than enough for our state, and he DID leave us with a Republican House and Assembly that Evers is finding hard-pressed to work with or even around, so there's that.

Evers is just a placeholder until our NEXT Governor, Mrs. Rebecca Kleefisch!

After November, it’s time to recall this imbecile who has encouraged terrorism in the streets. Don’t wait until 2022 to do it. Replace him with Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch.

Gotta love the Covid-19 fallout as the governors (and mayors) started channeling their
inner Adolf’s and began issuing inane orders like 1940’a era booted brownshirts.

IT ALL STARTED WITH A TRUMP TROLL-—One of Trump’s best:
When Covid surfaced, Trump quietly said he would not interfere in the states,
b/c (drum roll please)....”the governors and Mayors know what they’re doing.”

The governors and big city mayors, like NYC’s DeBlobbio, responded with alacrity......full-speed ahead.

Liberal Dems with newfound power went berserk-— dictating to their citizens, issuing orders left and right.

The citizenry took up arms. Recalls, threats of impeachment, protests, outright defiance as the people rose up against the liberal know-it-alls.

Democrat govs and mayors are now taking big hits for the riots, unrest, destruction and violence they’ve allowed to explode across the country.

LOL. They still dont know what happened to them.

BTW, another blue state is trending Trump, so if Trump wins Nevada, a thank you card for his missteps goes to Steve Sisolak, Gov of Nevada....
