It’s not cool in the sense that it is interesting or high-paying, but it is easy and pretty stress-free, and I sometimes think I get paid too much for what I do. I am just glad I have a job and am working from home these days because I have lost so much respect for my co-workers over the last few months. And I get to listen to whatever I want to on the radio and computer and sneak peaks at FR.

There’s a lot to be said for easy and stress-free as we get a little older! :)

And I am sorry about the issue with your coworkers. People who may have been friends or at least friendly acquaintances once, finding out what they are really about can be tough.

It was a different world even 15 years ago. I had gotten sick. I had to leave my job in the city and the liberals who I worked with, which were 95% of the department, were incredibly generous to me. Money. Gifts. Subscriptions. We were maybe all in our forties and the up and coming groups that were full of hate didn’t arrive yet, I think.

My God we would argue in the office. I was really the only conservative.

But then when we go out afterwards and we would have such a great time at the bars and clubs in manhattan. That can no longer happen I think.

These were people I didn’t agree with but I could respect mostly.

This new breed. They are evil.

I do not know if your working from home now is a permanent gig but if you like it I hope it is.
