It is permanent. The organization is saving a lot of money by giving up the lease on one of our buildings. I am one of those people with a job that they have determined can be worked from home.
It isn’t that the people I work with aren’t nice; it’s just that as the stakes have clearly gotten higher this past year in terms of what I see as the Chinese attempt to take over our country by blackmailing politicians into locking down our economy, I cannot countenance anyone who does not see that.
I’m just waiting and hoping my S.O. gets their dream job so we can finally get a home together somewhere that makes sense for their commute and that has a study so I no longer have to work in the room where I sleep.
