Meet the Rapper Who's Topping the Charts and Appearing on Fox News
American Thinker ^ | March 7, 2021 | John Leonard

...Tom's ability to communicate logic and wisdom compatible with conservative values proved to be equally powerful and entertaining in songs with titles like "No Lives Matter" and "People Are Stupid" that have unforgettable lines about controversial topics like abortion — "They say that bacteria is proof of life on Mars, but a heartbeat isn't proof of life on Earth? Weird."...

When I heard those lyrics, I had to stop the song and backtrack so I could listen more carefully to those words of wisdom a second time. Tom MacDonald is clearly not afraid to speak out in defense of Christianity or criticize the cancel culture mob. His song "Cancelled" explains why he can't be cancelled: he is a fully independent artist. He cannot be dropped by a record label or sponsors and doesn't even have an agent or publicist, yet his music is topping the charts for all genres. Tom owns the master recordings, and he writes and performs the music, and his lovely and talented girlfriend directs and produces all his videos. They don't need anybody else. They have one other employee or assistant or friend who also contributes to the overall effort, but with three people, Tom MacDonald is doing better financially with total artistic freedom than artists creating music under a record label, and he's delivering the highest quality content in his industry.

In another song called "Clown World," The very first words in the song are, "We keep talking about leaving a better planet for our children. How about leaving better children for our planet?" One minute later, MacDonald adds, "When I was a child, the only races that we hated were the ones that we ran but didn't win." This is absolutely brilliant, old-fashioned common sense that only a devoted liberal might find offensive....

I miss the days of Bach, Beethoven and Mozart.

I'm thinking they put out such great music because that's all they had to do. No distractions like TV, video games, internet, sports, etc. They were able to devote themselves to their craft pretty much from waking up in the morning to going to sleep at night.

Well Bach did find some spare time to make some babies. A passel of them too.

Just discovered the guy, he’s not bad for a rapper. I’d take him over the current crop any day.

Mozart and Bach were talented figures in a very different world with social structures and beliefs so alien to the moralistic post modern deconstructionism of today.

We’re talking about the difference between dystopia and civilization atm.

Talented guy - I’m always looking for signs of legitimate push back against the elite culture. This guy and his fans look like legit push back.

Pretty old. I remember getting in a fight with Claudio Monteverdi over some girl, whose name I can’t remember.

Just discovered the guy, he’s not bad for a rapper.

His music and message are resonating with an audience that's never been directly exposed to the truth. If you watch some of the reactions to his videos on YouTube its golden as he turns their lights on.

There is a hunger out there for the truth, people are sick of all the lies and they know they are being lied to. Tom is serving up the truth with a D-9.

Well said/written.

I bought his “Fake Woke” right off in support, it’s actually listenable and if you memorized it, you would sure have a ton of verbal memes in your head ready to pop out when you need a quick answer! (A quick answer is all that usually will fit in the heads of the woke.)

I have never minded a measure of Rap-style music because I think it has been around a long time as a spoken “spice” used in many songs of yore, and it womstimes works well.

It is like pepper, however, a SPICE in my opinion, and not a main course — so most full rap songs are like eating a bowl of pepper, not tasty, not the main music course for me, especially not song after song.

But selectively in moderation, Rap-like music has a place. This guy is interesting, and I think worth supporting. Many Freepers who like modern music, even those who are discriminating about music, might not mind having some of his songs in a music rotation.

The peak of Western music has long since past.

Verse 1]
I think it’s crazy I’m the one who they labeled as controversial
And Cardi B is the role model for 12-year-old girls
There’s rappers pushin’ Xanax at the top of the Billboard
But if I mention race in a song, I’m scared I’ll get killed for it
It’s backwards, it’s gettin’ exponentially dumb
It’s more difficult to get a job than purchase a gun
Eminem used to gay bash and murder his mum
And now he doesn’t want fans if they voted for Trump
We’re ashamed to be American, you should probably love it
‘Cause you have the right to say it and not gеt strung up in public
As children, we werе taught how to walk and talk
But the system wants adults to sit down and shut up
Cancel culture runs the world now, the planet went crazy
Label everything we say as homophobic or racist
If you’re white, then you’re privileged, guilty by association
All our childhood heroes got Me-Too’d or they’re rapists

[Pre-Chorus 1]
They never freed the slaves, they realized that they don’t need the chains
They gave us tiny screens, we think we free ‘cause we can’t see the cage
They knew that race war would be the game they need to play
For people to pick teams, they use the media to feed the flame

[Chorus]
They so fake woke, facts don’t care ‘bout feelin’s
They know they won’t tell me what to believe in
They so fake woke, same old safe zones
They so fake woke, facts don’t care ‘bout your feelin’s
1, ‘u-xx_large_top_margin’: $height > 0}” style=”box-sizing: border-box; display: block;”>[Verse 2]
I think it’s crazy all these people screamin’ facts, but they fake woke
Hate their neighbor ‘cause he wears a mask or he stays home
Has a daughter, but his favorite artist said he slays hoes
Picks her up from school, music slaps on the way home
Censorship’s an issue ‘cause they choose what they erase
There’s a difference between hate speech and speech that you hate
I think Black Lives Matter was the stupidest name
When the system’s screwin’ everyone exactly the same
I just wanna spend Thanksgivin’ Day with food and my family
Without bein’ accused of celebrating native casualties
We got so divided, it’s black and white and political
Republicans are bigots, libtards if you’re liberal
There’s riots in our streets, and it’s just gettin’ worse
Y’all screamin’, “Defund the police”, y’all are genius for sure
They’re underfunded already, they’re way too busy to work
Order food and call the cops, see what reaches you first

[Pre-Chorus 2]
Segregation ended, that’s a lie in itself
That was a strategy to make us think they were tryin’ to help
They knew that racism was hot if they designed it to sell
We buy up every single box and divide us ourselves

[Chorus]
They so fake woke, facts don’t care ‘bout feelin’s
They know they won’t tell me what to believe in
They so fake woke, same old safe zones
They so fake woke, facts don’t care ‘bout your feelin’s
1, ‘u-xx_large_top_margin’: $height > 0}” style=”box-sizing: border-box; display: block;”>[Verse 3]
We use violence to get peace and wonder why it isn’t workin’
That’s like sleepin’ with a football team to try and be a virgin
Politicians are for sale and someone always makes the purchase
But you and I cannot afford it, our democracy is worthless
If a man has mental illness, call him crazy, say it silently
When country’s goin’ crazy, we accept it as society
Get sick and take a pill, when the side effects get you high
You get addicted like these rappers dying fighting with sobriety
Censoring the facts turns our children into idiots
They claim it’s for our safety, I’ll tell you what it really is
Removing information that empowers all the citizens
The truth doesn’t damage points of view that are legitimate
They’re tryna change amen to a-men and women
How’d we let them make praying a microaggression?
Instead of asking God for the strength to keep winnin’
We cheat to get ahead, and then we ask Him for forgiveness

[Pre-Chorus 3]
Feminism used to be the most righteous of fights
But these days it feels like they secretly hate guys
I don’t trust anyone who bleeds for a week and don’t die
I’m just kiddin’, but everything else that I said is right

[Chorus]
They so fake woke, facts don’t care ‘bout feelin’s
They know they won’t tell me what to believe in
They so fake woke, same old safe zones
They so fake woke, facts don’t care ‘bout your feelin’s

Common man, have you ever heard Indian music. I mean dots not feathers. Its like pepper spray to the ears.

Toms music is not about musicale composition its about his message.

In the days of Bach, Beethoven and Mozart, common folk like us wouldn't have been able to listen to them. They made music for their patrons and the nobility, not for the hoi-polloi.
