Coke & Pepsi pay Walmart to not shelve product. Walmart used to have an endless supply of their own soda brands, but the big soda producers were getting killed...so they worked out an arrangement with Walmart to slow their generic output hence you can no longer find Walmart soda easily.

Probably corn syrup vs real sugar.

Thank you for the info. I suspected something like that was going on but Walmart makes a profit with their own brands outselling others so why do they cater to others? SAM's cola could sell at a higher price if that was the problem. I wish SAM's Club sold the cans themselves and we could purchase however much we wanted. Price aside, we prefer SAM's can diet cola over other brands.

The funny thing is Sam’s Club has never carried Sam’s soda. You can only get it at Walmart. Coca-Cola is a wealthy company & for whatever reason, they have made a deal with Walmart to limit their own branded Sam’s soda.

This is not a recent policy either. It’s been at least 6 or 8 years since Sam’s soda has been limited on the shelves.

I like it too...when I see it I buy all of them that they have out & ask a store employee to see if there are any in the back.

Thanks for info on other options. Coke joined my ever expanding list of companies never to buy from or support again which includes, but is not limited to, gillette, amazon, kelloggs, starbucks, united airlines, mlb, nfl, any leftist news organization, fox news, newsmax...well, you get the picture.

Our Dollar stores and a few others always have the Mexican colas. Yeah, they’re better since they are still made with real sugar. I turned my grandchildren on to them and now they buy them whenever they find them.

Since I was a Yute the D&D marathons got me hooked and mainlining Mountain Dew. I will suffer through a cola if I have to, but if MD is an option, it’s the only option.

Sam’s Club sells Mountain Lightning which I’ll suffer through, but the only other I’ve tried with a blindfold I couldn’t tell the difference to is an off brand sold by Save-a-lot stores called Mountain Hollar, and that is a third the price as well.
