If Chuck Todd ever interviews newly arrested Broward County Schools Superintendent Robert Runcie again he needs to first watch this clip from Steve Kane radio show co-host, Brian Craig, who puts Runcie's corruption in the proper perspective. Yes, this arrest is about the usual level of corruption in Broward County which is quite high but it is also about much more such as the Parkland school shootings which could have been prevented under normal security measures which were entirely lacking in the Broward County school system.

The big corruption here beyond the usual financial corruption is the cooking of the books to keep the school crime rate low. Problem is when that happens the perps, such as the Parkland school shooter, are not red flagged and can therefore buy guns. All the background checks in the world won't work unless the criminals are first red flagged.

The idea of not allowing ordinary citizens to buy guns until they get permission from the government is foolish and unworkable.

It has done nothing to reduce crime or violence.

Its only purpose is to incrementally move toward registration of all legal guns.

The whole system should be scrapped.

I’m not against background checks because there are NUTCASES such as the Parkland shooter out there. However, that system doesn’t work if the nutcases don’t get redflagged first. BTW, I am also against abuse of the background checks in which some on the left want to redflag people simply for being conservative.
