And so are publik skoolz, the NEA, the Southern Poverty Asshole Center, the DemocRAT party, and the media.
It’s more of a highway really.

The first part promised sex in the second part and what we got was being fondled by a friend.
A human being is a spirit, a soul, and a physical body. The dimensional realm in which the physical body exists is sensed (4D, length, width, height, and time). However, the soul or behavior mechanism of the person (the mind, emotions, and will) is not in the 4D realm except where it interfaces with the physiology of the body, so the soul exists in a different or slightly higher coordinate realm. The spirit is interfaced to the soul (until we are bror again, and then it is separated from the soul of sin). We dio not yet have a clue how the soul interfaces with the body, or how the spirit interfaces with the soul. BUT we do iknow from God’s word that there is some way these interface connections are achieved. [One more clue: Paul explained thwt just as there is a physical 4D body there is also a spirit body ... of 5D or 6D, we do not now know.]
Since ‘someone’ who does not have our well being at heart knows the interface secrets, there is very real potential for that ‘someone’ to manipulate the interface using drugs, sounds, and sexual energies.
A great song to sing along to as you drive. Yes!
GIMME SOME MOTORHEAD....
“Highway to Hell” was the nickname for the Canning Highway in Australia. It runs from where lead singer Bon Scott lived in Fremantle and ends at a pub/bar called The Raffles, which was a big rock ‘n roll drinking hole in the ‘70s.
LOL
Sex? Absolutely!
Drugs? When needed and drinks (some consider drugs) to relax and end a rollercoaster work day.
Rock & Roll? Darn right! Nothing like some Stones, HellYeah, Pantera, Metalica, Chickenfoot and a million others to motivate me to work, workout etc.
I’m 64 and married for 42 years and this post seems to be from before I was even born.
I saw Motorhead in a club in Houston on the Orgasmatron tour.
Rock’n’roll certainly created more opportunities for sin, but to suggest that without rock’n’roll there’d be less or even no sin is... well, beyond insane, perhaps even sinful unto itself.
I’m not sure the author is saying that, but in my reading he’s suggesting it. Sorry, sin pre-existed Elvis, and to suggest otherwise is to ignore both sin and human nature.
I didn’t get the same “feel” from his writings as you. It seems more of a personal redemption story. We all go ways we are not proud of, whether a few hours or years. He is taking us on his personal journey and I will be there for his last written word. It is interesting.
I remember talking with an older woman years ago at church about some of the new music.
Me: “Well, I guess as the dad I’m not supposed to like my child’s music.”
She: “Yep - my parents didn’t like my music either.”
“Oh - what kind of music was that?”
“Big Band music.”
“Big band!? What was wrong with that!!??”
“It had brass - trumpets, etc. They thought that was the Devil’s music. Orchestral string instruments was what they listened too.”
I get that, sorry if I seemed to have condemned the point of view.
A tremendous problem with our society is that we think we invented the world anew. Every generation thinks that, of course, but some historical humility would yield much of that common sense that our culture lacks.
