The headline chosen is misleading. Defeat of the desire, of this administration, to control guns is not defeated, as the headline implies.
Only the defeat of Chipman is at play here. As has been pointed out, the next person will have his/her bags packed to take his place. They will just pack lighter and not carry as much baggage as this Chipman clown.
