You know right from the start that a caller to a radio show is a seminar caller when they start off identifying themselves as a "lifelong" Republican or that they have been a Republican all their life. One such caller was hilariously exposed by Steve Kane and his co-host Brian Craig on the Steve Kane Radio show on September 24, 2021.
This clip is yet another example of why the Steve Kane Radio Show is the longest running radio show (44+ years) of any kind in the state of Florida. BTW, you don't have to live in South Florida to listen to the Steve Kane Radio Show from 6 to 9 AM weekdays since it is available via iHeartRadio (AM 1470 WWNN Radio). Oh, and Brian also reveals just what incredible influence the show has on the media. It ain't braggin' if you are doing it.
PING!
Maybe the caller really was a lifelong Republican who belonged to the Lowell Weicker-Jake “the Snake” Javits-Clifford Case—Nancy Kassebaum wing of the GOP.
That’s a lot of names. I just say the Rockefeller Republicans.
Being a lifelong anything isn't one of my lifelong goals. But callers to radio shows who are clearly scripted are astroturf / shills / stooges / creeps.
Today, you can call them Cheney/Bush/Romney Republicans.
Rush relished these seminar callers and was super good at getting them to reveal themselves as phonies.
That was worthless. Why oh why did I waste time watching this one? I usually find Dummie Funnies videos better than this.
Wow, that was confusing. There was one too many on the line talking over one another or not at all.
Establishment Republicans.
If you guys didn’t know where the term “Seminar Caller” came from, it was when Rush found out there were literally SEMINARS where people were tried to say things like “I like President Bush, but...”
It actually worked quite well against Rush for a while.
BLOWDART!
Country Club republicans.
For a while our interests aligned, they wanted to make money, we saw no reason why they should not. We wanted to go our own way with the least restrictions possible they saw no reason why we should not. We both agreed America was a great place.
But they began to crave the approval of their fellow country club members who were democrats. And become citizens of the world. And they started to hold us in contempt.
And so the split.
Looking forward to viewing this once it’s posted on Rumble:)
I agree with you in a general sense but will always and unapologetically proclaim to be a heterosexual white Christian male of the human species.
Just make the next one better. :)
You never really know how the videos will do. I've posted some that I thought were just so-so and they turned out to be viral hits. In fact, my best video only did so-so at first and I forgot about it and then weeks later it went through the roof. The secret to creating videos is just to put them out there because you never really know for sure how they will do.
Seminar Callers seek to exploit the human tribal instinct to “steer the herd away” from someone or some cause by building false consensus.
First they identify with the listeners..
“I was a lifelong republican”
Then they cast doubt:
“Until X Y and Z”
Then they disrupt
“And that is why I will not support X Y and Z”
Ii is all a psychological trick as the democrats cannot back their carp up with facts.
I was just having fun. I watch your videos often.
Funny, I was thinking of ‘ol Rushbo when I read the letter I’ve linked below. Don’t know who he is, but he sure sounds like a “seminar writer”.

Note that he goes on and on about how he can’t support Trump after “what he did on January 6th”, but never specifies what it is Trump supposedly did that he found unforgivable.
