USGS is on this, say there will be no tsunami. So there is that.

Have you been to Philadelphia? It’s not “open ocean” by any means. It’s on the Delaware River about 60 miles from Cape May and the mouth of Delaware Bay.

And DC…..WAHOOOOOOOO

And as the tsunami approached, the phone lines on the east coast would be tied up, as every progressive tried to reach his/her/etc. favorite lawyer, planning to sue over the lack of a "trigger warning"...

;^)

Well, there is that.

I figure the smartest thing to do is keep an eye on the pols in the areas at risk.

If they bug out, time to do the same.

The problem is, in this case, there is a huge shelf that is fractured and could break loose. There has to be a first time, if something happens. There would not necessarily be another occurrence we can see in the record.

Tidal waves hit Japan every 2-300 hundred years from subduction zone earthquakes along the west coast. Last one was 1700.

Displacement waves will travel across the world until they hit another shore. Same thing happened in Chile in 1960. Tidal waves hit Hawaii.

“We know of many in Japan, Hawaii and elsewhere in the Pacific and it has become part of different cultures and myths. But what about in the Atlantic?”

That’s where Atlantis WAS. Where is it now, huh?

I found Bushcraft Bear on the first day of eruption. He does great reporting on the eruption and the island. He bikes all over the island, uphill, downhill to get good viewpoints.

About a week ago, he caught on camera a cloud formation over the volcano that was amazing, Turns out they are ‘gravity waves’ and can also be seen on satellite. He is worth watching, gives a short update wideo, twice a day.

Start at about 2:25 to see the cloud formation.

The Great Tsunami of 1929

https://mysteriesofcanada.com/newfoundland/tsunami/

I found this interesting:

“Radio was in its infancy”

I had an Amateur Radio Operator friend when I was growing up. He was licensed in 1929. His amateur radio call was W5PO (aka W5 Post Office) He was a great guy, he owned a local drygoods store. His son was in my class in school. His son got his license before we graduated high school in 1966.

In 1976 I got my first ham ticket and he was my first radio contact. At that time I was living in Silver City, NM. For years we had at least one scheduled contact a week. He would often patch me into the local phone line and let my talk to my parents.

I have some of his old QST magazines from the 1930’s. He gave them to me when he and his wife moved from Texas, into a retirement home in Nevada (where his son lived.)

First Amateur Radio Callsigns: Ham Radio Callsigns

First amateur radio callsigns in USA

The situation was rather different within the USA. There was no licensing of amateur radio stations within the USA until the Radio Act of 1912 became law. Until this time the early radio amateurs had allocated themselves callsigns on an adhoc fashion.

Despite this, the Modern Electrics magazine published a listing of US stations and their callsigns (self-assigned) in a 1909 issue of their magazine. It listed the name and broad location of the station along with the call-letter which normally consisted of three letters, although a number had fewer letters, one having just the letter ‘H’ and others having a number as well like ‘3B’. It also listed the approximate wavelength on which they transmitted along with the spark coil length or the transmitter power.

However as licenses became necessary the stations were issued with callsigns.

These were initially issued by the US Department of Commerce, and the Government Printing Office, published annual lists of all US radio stations - amateur, commercial, and government stations all being listed together.

Later, the US Commerce Department began issuing separate call books for amateur stations.

No, I meant research the issue of La Palma and whether or not it’s collapse in a giant landslide would create a mega tsunami or not. Many geologists say yes it would and have claimed that the tsunami would be at least 100 ft high, others claim it might be as large as 600 ft high, and still others, like the USGS claim its collapse is no danger to the US east coast what-so-ever. That’s what I was talking about doing research for your own benefit.

It is sad though that you would paint with such a broad brush about bloggers. Some are morons and some are not, not all bloggers are morons.

From a Biblical perspective there are written warnings directed towards those that come against Israel or attempt to divide the land of Israel.

There is also a record of devastation following America’s attempts to do just that. If we divide His land, we will suffer the same consequence. So are these predictions possible? If you believe in the Bible, decide for yourselves. Or for those that mock the possibility, you may find yourself in the path of God’s Judgement.

Look it up. There is actual science that happened before politics took over the genre.

Yes, it is a very real possibility.
