One of my siblings still is a practicing Catholic. She is also a rock-ribbed Dem voter who considers the GOP the root of all evil When I ask her how a practicing Catholic can blindly support a party whose main tenet is the support of unfettered abortion rights, she gets very quiet. But she doesn't change her voting.

I live in NJ, There are a TON of what we call “Brooklyn Jews” here. These are people that moved from Brooklyn. They are easily confused with Italians because they look and act pretty much the same way. These are the jews that vote democrat. We also have a very large Hasidic population, they vote republican. Why do you think NJ is so heavy democrat?

Now you don't know what you are getting when you speak of Methodist, Baptist, Catholic, or Presbyterian. If 30% of Jews are at least nominally faithful then that figure probably applies to most denominations too.

The OT rules and Muslim rules have many similarities, actually. The Jewish people are about a government that is to be obeyed and protects the people. The problem is, the government in the OT was God based and the US government of today is not.
And both the Talmud and the Sharia law have quite strict and detailed day to day rules/laws. Christians have much more autonomy in how their God tells them to lead their lives. Our God’s law is very much a “spirit” of the law. while the other two are very much a “letter” of the law thing.
