The Future
12 Round ^ | 21 Oct, 2021 | T. L. Davis

History is the guidepost to the future. Everything that happens has happened before and so, the study of history is what one does to interpret the present to be ready for the future. The ability to predict the future is of little use, because people don’t listen. No matter how accurately one predicts the future, or how loudly they speak, the ability to force others to act on that prediction is an impossible task. They retreat into what they can prove, what exists physically in front of them. Normally, that’s all right. It’d be nice to stop the worst from happening before it does, but that’s a leap of faith that most won’t take.

What we’re living in now, is the past. We look to our institutions of justice for justice, but it’s gone. That was before. We look to our institutions of health to protect us from bad drugs and get sound advice on which ones will benefit our health, but that’s not what they do. They work for international pharmaceutical corporations. We look to our schools to educate our children, but education is no longer what they do. That was before. We look to our representatives and senators to do what we want done in government, to clear the way for our efforts or prevent others from hindering our endeavors. But that’s not what they do anymore. They represent big corporations, work with them to get re-elected instead of relying on votes of the people. The bureaucracy is so vast it’s impervious to elections, anyway.

That’s not the present we expect, or are accustomed to encountering, but it’s the present as it is. The present is a place where the average American no longer has a place. The source of all power and wealth is discarded as unnecessary, because they can take what they want, replace us with someone else and make us do what they say. That’s the present. For them, too. The question is the future.

There are a lot of assaults on individuality, even humanity and they’re coming fast. Some might think that the pandemic was bad enough, that vaxx mandates are bad enough, that open borders are bad enough, that corrupt DAs are bad enough, that rigged elections are bad enough, but it’s all part of the same effort, to drive individuality, humanity out of the decision-making process over society, replacing common sense with dictates of bureaucrats. The pushback against the individual voice during the pandemic is used against those who choose not to get vaxxed, it’s used against those seeking individual votes, it’s used against individual rights in court and elsewhere.

These rights do not exist in reality. They’re just words on paper, as relevant to bureaucrats as hieroglyphs on an Egyptian wall. They’ve used racism as a reason not to adhere to them. They’ve used every device available, patriarchy, colonialism and even humanity itself. Humans, as flawed beings, cannot construct something as eminently powerful and sound as machines or artificial intelligence (AI). Look at every initiative of the Biden Administration as the most recent example of this effort and you will find at the core, the alienation of the individual from the process.

The government will educate your children. Government will dictate your medical care. Government will decide what you owe it from your funds. Government will hold elections irrespective of voters. Government will decide which industries flourish and which industries collapse. Government will decide who gets electricity, heat, food, shelter and if someone should complain, the FBI will be by to see them and probably arrest them as a terrorist. It’s what the Soviet Union used to call “wrecking” and it’s used to control dissent. Ask any mother standing up against CRT, who has already been labeled a “domestic terrorist” for that dissent. This is not in the future; this is the present.

The only thing Americans are in control of is the future. It’s a decision that must be made today. Will the future be one of individuals pursuing their avocations, their skills, their desires, their visions of art, literature and music, or will it all be scripted and politicized to adhere to the global agenda? The weight of the United States Government is on forcing them to choose the latter. It’s in the process of training children to choose the latter. The vaxx mandate is to force one to choose the latter. It gets no better than 2021, if the ultimate answer to the crucial question is compliance. At least in the present, there are some freedoms left, being fought over, but in time, along the same trajectory, without massive disobedience, it’s over.

It’s encouraging that some pilots and airline employees have stood up to reject the vaxx mandate, but it isn’t being done for any other reason than they already had Covid and have the antibodies, or they have a justifiable aversion to experimental chemical compounds that have not been proven to resist the virus and might actually destroy the immune system along the way. I wish it were for freedom that they refused, because if it’s just to avoid further sickness, they’ll find another way to force it on them.

Communism is not in my future. I know that much.

“In the end, you shall lose everything you hold of value in this world, your wealth, your possessions, your freedoms, your friends, your family, your youth, even your life itself. But before you surrender them, make those who try to take them from you pay an extreme price for every little scrap they grasp for.”

Why does someone want power or control over you?

Because they are mentally ill sadists who derive pleasure from torturing you?

Because they think they know what’s best for you, but they don’t want to expend the energy explaining things to you?

They want to control you because there is a benefit to them by controlling you.

Unfortunately, what history has taught us is that history teaches us nothing.
