There are bigger stakes in play to risk it on a vanity move by Pelosi, who only has a few (if that) productive years left.

I think of Deep State as a cabal of power centers, cooperating in some things, competing in others. The different factions win on some days, and lose on others. Like orcs, they are not above killing and eating each other. But when they smell hobbit blood (us), they drop their internecine battles and come to attempt to eat us.
pelosi represents, and is the central player, of one of these power centers. If she wants it, she may well get it.
Hope they nominate him... he doesn’t stand a chance.... No matter how hard the MSM tells you he does...
I said about a month ago this is the plan:
1) Step one is get rid of Harris (Kampuchea). They HAVE to unload her. She’s polling 10 points WORSE than the Demented Rutabaga, who is now losing to Trump by 10.
2) Step two, appoint Buttplugs as the new veep, he’s instantly confirmed.
3) Step three: 25th the Demented Pervert.

FYI. There is no question he's got his eye on the WH and, of course, they are protecting him at all costs. They thought that they could give him the easy job as Transportation Sec and now empty shelves threaten to not only derail (ahem) Harris, but Buttghead as well.
