Sounds like the perfect approach in a totalitarian state. I suppose they will start fining the truckers for not delivering their milk and gas too. Just as in ever Marxist state they fine and seize all the property and then not have a clue what to do with it.

On reading the headline, I expected it to be from the Babylon Bee.
Reality trumps satire.
That was potentially one of the courses of action they could have taken, albeit, probably the worst one.
Doubling down on stupid rarely gets you anywhere.
But it is typical leftist thinking. If what they are doing isn’t working, just do more of it and that’s the ticket, then it will work, because they can NEVER admit they were wrong.
