Just logged into gab for the first time in a year or so. User gab is reposting items from groups like wood working, construction etc.

The members of gab - I joined when there were just a couple of thousand members - regularly made explicit threats against me, slandered me, gloated about having hurt me at various points in the past, and I was informed that even the site owner (Candy Andy) threatened me himself, and encouraged others to attack me. The revenge pr0n and weird insulting cartoons of me and Mr K (not the one on this forum) were to let us know that A) we were being spied on every minute of the day and B) we were very, very disliked by EVERYONE on gab.
Before gab was shut down the first time - after the synagogue shooting - I saw members engaging in racketeering type activities and terrorism. It seemed that some of them were aiding illegal immigration. They stalked and spied on people - and continually bragged about doing so. The plagiarized some of my writing and I’m pretty sure made $$$ off that.
One thing that was consistent is that I got threatened and railed at every time I went on the site. Clearly, I represent some sort of threat to them. They didn’t seem like Christians to me, except that there were the usual Xtian troll accounts that block everybody on the site except for the few people they interact with.
If gab is a nice quiet site now with nice Xtians praying and showing off pics of their “trad” families, that’s great. But I doubt if it has changed that much - likely just quashed a little bit of the more criminal speech.
Jesus is a nice guy who doesn’t make threats and doesn’t like those who do. He does not support organized crime. He doesn’t support organized slander and “cancellation” campaigns. When one of their targets committed suicide once - a blogger who didn’t kiss up to them enough, I guess - they gloated about it OPENLY. #LauraVirus and her friends always say “whomp whomp” when one of the targets of their vicious campaigns kills him or herself.
And - I’m not an expert on Jesus, but I’m pretty sure he doesn’t want for you to be a gangster and terrorist, little man Andy.
I would still have an account on gab even in spite of the hatred because I like fresh news, except for one thing: If one of these criminal fuds ever DOES attack me, the fact that I remained on a site where I was getting threatened regularly would make it seem as though I was asking for it. (Attorney’s advice.)

Free speech in the USA is the right to political speech. Threats and slander are still against the law. No, they don’t get prosecuted a lot, but on the other hand the cops I worked for a few years ago busted people for it on a regular basis ESPECIALLY after one of the nice homeless guys in their district who typically lurked around a pricey restaurant in their city - and never got hassled by the cops because “freedom of speech” - wandered into the restaurant one day and murdered a man who was eating dinner with his wife and kid.
That you've been on Gab and haven't seen anything anti-semitic says a lot more about you than it does about Gab, sorry to say.
I was on Gab just last night and stumbled across some anti-semitic comments.
But, if you're going to support free speech, then that includes the nutters.
Interesting. I’ve been on gettr a couple of months now and Jason Miller seems to have hit the right balance between free speech and banning outright hate. I’ve not had the same problems with antisemitism and black hatred there.

People expressing their opinions is not a “problem.”
The problem is people thinking opinions are a problem.
The purpose of Facebook is to destroy liberty, destroy God’s church, and enslave mankind to Satan.
I am conservative as they come my whole life, but the thing is if you tolerate racism (not the drum up kind the left makes up) of any form, you’re complicit.
