I'm tired of this whole canard. People have used the same logic to discredit this beloved Free Republic. A few bad apples should not be allowed to define the entire forum.
I go to Gab and do not see anything like what you are describing. Maybe it's because I only follow good people. I suppose if you went looking for antisemitism there, you'd find it. But I don't go looking for it. And if I did see it, blocking is the proper response.
I wish Free Republic had a blocking feature. On the other hand, I've never hit the abuse button even once in a quarter century of posting. I believe in free speech, no matter how objectionable. There are certain people here that I just avoid in general (since we don't have the blocking feature). But I don't hit the abuse button on them either because I am a firm believer in free speech.

I was here under a different “Wild Game” and I said that I feel it’s our right to carry a firearm if we want to and getting permission from the Government to be allowed to carry (CCW, CPL) violated our Constitutional Rights.
I said so I carry anyway, screw them.
You, Mr Laz were the person I knew that didn’t cheer me on. Not just here, but in real life. No one tried to talk sense into me.

I stopped carrying until I went to a stupid mandatory class and paid for a Carry Permit.

I admit the thought didn’t really hit me because some people have been there for years and seems to say and be what they are so easily. If you know what I mean.

Glad you went with the smart option on CCW. So long as the laws are not too onerous, I will obey them and encourage others to do so, as well.

:D Gab is a website where people argue bitterly and at length about whether the earth is round or not.
Like I said, the day I made an account on gab (in october 2016) I noticed that some apparently founding members of the site were some guys I am well acquainted with who promote themselves as “shock jock” types (really DUMB and BRUTAL shock jock types). They’re involved in, for one thing, meth trafficking. Immediately these two and their friends piled on me: “GET OFF OUR WEBSITE.” I stuck around for some months and then deleted my account. I did do some excellent trolling that made some loser criminals very nervous.
As noted in my post, I considered keeping an account on gab just to get the news, but so much of it is that “deep fake” material, very poorly produced and insulting to one’s intelligence. (Nothing like being lied to by folks supposedly devoted to “free speech.” FREEDOM TO LIE, FALSIFY, SCAM, AND MISREPRESENT!!! YAY!)
And, ultimately, I know - because of advice from law critters - that if I kept visiting a site where people threaten me with death and post revenge porn, snuff, etc, were one of the site members to actually physically assault me, then it would appear that I was inviting it.
I think it helps a lot of you have multiple “Follows” on Gab...I am currently following about 37 people on Gab and have not noticed any “sketchy” content lately. Early on I blocked a few on Gab, but once I had 30 “Follows” or so the Gab algorithm seems to just feed me their stuff and no random “objectionable” stuff.

They don’t pay too much. Only about 3.50 a pre- written post. Bonus if it gets response. They can improvise along certain guidelines to make the post seem genuine and they can build teams and share commissions.
Why would you tell the world on the internet you would break laws to conceal carry illegally?
Maybe to get people to say that is a good thing and agree with you, for other reasons 🤔
I’m not quite getting how you came to your conclusion. David Chase tells us, on this thread, that I convinced him NOT to CCW without a permit. I was glad about that, and told him that as long as the laws are not too oppressive, to abide. I abide by the law, myself, and was glad he did too... especially on my recommend.
