A CNN talking head declared Sunday that if Elon Musk is allowed to buy Twitter, the platform will have to be government regulated to prevent ‘discourse’ being open and free, and not subject to establishment controlled censorship.
While discussing the Musk take-over on CNN’s potato time with Brain Stelter, “media analyst” David Zurawik proclaimed that Musk is “dangerous” and shouldn’t be allowed to restore free speech on the platform.
Zurawik suggested that the U.S. look to Europe, which has recently brought in new laws to limit social media, and even threatened to ban Twitter if Musk doesn’t play ball.
“There’s a bigger problem here about how we’re going to control the channels of communications in this country,” Zurawik frothed, panicking at the notion of the likes of CNN not being able to dictate what Americans think.
“This is dangerous! We can’t think anymore in this country!” Zurawik whined, adding “I’m serious! We don’t have people in Congress who can make regulations, that can make it work.”
“I think we can look to the Western countries in Europe for how they are trying to limit it. But you need controls on this,” the talking slap head continued.
“You need regulation. You cannot let these guys control discourse in this country or we are headed to hell,” Zurawik further suggested.
“We are there,” he added, further claiming that “Trump opened the gates of hell and now they’re chasing us down.”
“We gave over what amounts to our airwaves or our internet waves to Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, and we are in so much trouble because those guys believe in making money,” he said.

And now, just a week later, Biden’s Department of Homeland Security has rolled out a literal Ministry of Truth, headed up by a deranged partisan who truly believes that anything she disagrees with is hate speech.
Freedom of Speech is a fine thing — as long as the government can tightly control what people are allowed to say.
One thing a lot of people might be missing.....the lefts belief that truth IS NOT absolute.......that’s some dangerous 5h!t right there....not to mention it’s straight out of hell.

It’s amazing, Democrats have fully become the Republican Party of the 1960’s, who want to control every aspect of your life and dictate what you can and cannot see or hear. Crazy that the Right is now more liberal than the Left.
Some of us would be for burdening CNN with some regulation...like no more lectures....no more anti-Trump-chatter for 12 hours a day....just plain regular news without 12 experts trying to pretend to know something.

Reminds me of what happened when people in the old Soviet Union and East Germany and elsewhere like that kept on watching episodes of Dallas or Dynasty and bought Levi jeans on the black market. I recently looked at a map of far eastern Russia and I can imagine it wasn’t too difficult for people living in that area to listen to radio stations and watch TV from Alaska back then. This sort of thing is likely spooking the globalist politically correct.

With these people (Leftists) all you have to do to understand them is to listen to them talk long enough.
They try to hide their real intentions, but...they just cannot keep from revealing themselves in a variety of ways, because they need to boast, or in their consternation, lose their filter, whatever.
But if you listen, they will tell you exactly what they believe in and what they intend to do.

This is why the left needs the use of force in the first place. Force is all they have to “control” people. Notice how he uses the word control. He is unaware that promoting good things can control a narrative. These people are plain lazy. They haven’t had a good idea in all of history. They need to lie and it is easier and less work if everyone else is forced to shut up.
We are headed to hell alright, but it will be because of their control, not for their lack of it.
