This is from Wikipedia:
Zurawik was born to a Jewish family[3][4] and earned a master’s degree in specialized reporting from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a doctorate in American studies from the University of Maryland, College Park.[5] His dissertation in 2000 was titled The Jews of prime time: Ethnicity, self-censorship and assimilation in network television, 1949–1999. His doctoral advisor was Lawrence E. Mintz.[6]

I saw this guy on TV. He said regulations on the internet, is the same as how the FCC has regulations on radio and TV broadcasting. That’s his view anyway. He said when radio started up in the 1920s, that Congress passed laws to regulate that then new technology. In his view, government regulates communications now with radio and TV and the internet is just another form of communication.

You don’t control the channels of communication in this country.
It’s not yours to control.
I hope this keeps that guy up a night for a long time.

How is Elon Musk any different than Jack Dorsey or any of the other jackasses running American tech companies. Not sure how, but I sure am enjoying the left’s reaction to him.

CNN does not control my thinking. I have not watched them in decades. I can think, for myself.

A CNN talking head declared Sunday that if Elon Musk is allowed to buy Twitter, the platform will have to be government regulated to prevent ‘discourse’ being open and free, and not subject to establishment controlled censorship. Still think you are on the right side of this Semimojo?

Still think you are on the right side of this...If by "this" you mean keeping the government from dictating what speech the techs allow, absolutely.
This guy's position is just the flip side of yours - both rely on the feds to dictate to the socials.

If by "this" you mean keeping the government from dictating what speech the techs allow, absolutely. Once again, you have flipped the meaning.
Ban censorship. Is that clearer for you?
