The University of Texas at Austin Center for Media Engagement had a conference in November 2021 in which the liberal participants openly supported ditching objectivity in order to hype "Solidarity Journalism" to promote "social justice." Here are few highlights (or lowlights) of them basically declaring HOORAH FOR BIAS! Keep in mind this "Solidarity Journalism" is a leftist ideology that is now openly embraced by many, if not most, of the liberal media outlets and is being taught in Journalism schools around the country. This conference was hosted by the foremost proponent of "Solidarity Journalism," Anita Varma who is described as the "Solidarity Journalism Initiative lead at the Center for Media Engagement."
We recently saw Solidarity Journalism in action when most of the media unquestioningly accepted Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony to the January 6 Committee as a "game changer" when in reality it was merely second hand hearsay which was quickly contradicted by first hand NAMED witnesses. As a result, those elements of the media have countered by promoting second hand UNNAMED hearsay witnesses which supposedly back up Hutchinson's highly questionable hearsay testimony. Hey, it was done in the name of Solidarity Journalism in order to promote the social justice media narrative!

I graduated from UT’s School of Communications in 1978. I think I was the only person who just wanted to get the hell out of Dodge immediately on graduation.

These so-called 'journalists' need to put out an 'in-office rag' for each other - then put out a real paper for the cities they serve.(Where the hell are the Publishers? Why are the monkeys running the Zoo into the ground?
Or liberal media can go out of business with thier unicorn wish -- that government will set up 'charity funding' for them - which is NOT going to happen.
Y'know, because they weren't doing that before.
