I’m with you.
I have never had a police officer, county sheriff deputy, or state trooper give me a “driver test” in 58 years of driving all over the country often hitting 50k miles per year. I was crazy as a youth — never happened. I was near sighted without glasses for a while — never happened. I speed — never happened. I got pulled over for 92 MPH and got a warning ticket, but no driver test.
I believe the poster might be missing something in his driving.

I got a speeding ticket once by following a State police cruiser at the same speed he was driving. Not tailgating but matched spped. he pulled over, dropped back and lit me up.
I explained that I was going the same speed as he was. "And that was 10mph over the limit. And you kept right up with me for 2 miles. License and registration please."
