Trump gave an interview on Thursday to Hugh Hewitt, who repeatedly asked him to spill on what disparaging nicknames he plans to use against those who compete with him in the 2024 Republican primary. When Hewitt floated Glenn Youngkin (R) as a possible bid, Trump referred to the Virginia Governor as a “disappointment,” complaining that he didn’t get enough gratitude from Youngkin or his team even though “I did a lot for him. And he got elected because of me, just like Ron DeSantis. Even more so.”
DeSantis is often considered Trump’s biggest potential primary threat, and the former president has been opening fire on the governor ever since the midterm elections. Trump often claims DeSantis would’ve never won his governors race without his endorsement, so as soon as Trump brought up DeSantis’ name, the floodgates opened for a full-scale attack.
“He had nothing! He was dead, he was leaving the race, he came over and he begged me, begged me, for an endorsement. He was getting ready to drop out,” Trump said. He then shared how DeSantis supposedly grovelled for his help in beating Adam Putnam in Florida’s Republican primary
"There were tears coming down from his eyes. He said ‘if you endorse me, I’ll win,’ said Trump. “So I end up doing it, and he wins. They say it was like a bomb went off. Just a bomb totally went off. From the moment I endorsed him, he went from losing by numbers that were not catchable to winning easily.”
This went on with Trump saying “everything collapsed” for Putnam from the moment he endorse DeSantis, and that “I got him past the crackhead [Andrew Gillam], who was the hottest person in the Democratic Party at the time.”

Trump reminds me of a modern day Huey P. Long of Louisiana. Huey went after his opponents viscously. Long had a huge ego like Trump.

This Long Islander is constantly getting called out in texas for exaggerating. That the language. I automatically translate metaphoric language and definitely when trump speaks

We don’t picture crying. We picture desperation and regret and a plea tomorrow help with the understanding we’ll both remember the favor
If the guy then turns on us or doesn’t come to our aid where he can, we’re going to warn others whom he tries to con, that he’s a creep
People like to hate trump so they focus on some accusation of narcissism. Trump is hugely successful and doesn’t apologize for it. He acts successful. Every conservative ought to do so and the constitution would reign as it should.

While there are a lot of people like this, I would never say that there are too many. When the last RINO has been burried, I will be willing to say that perhaps there are now enough.

Trump could recreate himself and be nice and humble and gracious and it wouldn’t matter. The elections are rigged, irreparably so.
I voted for Trump twice, but will not do so again. His appeal has worn off. The sooner his supporters (and Trump himself) realizes this, the sooner we can find that same political/economic/etc. astuteness wrapped up in a more grace-gifted package.
