Sadly I just heard of another victim of this COVID hysteria. A wonderful old tavern restaurant in the mountains, that my mother also used to frequent as a college girl, which had beef wellington (not anymore after the shut-downs). We were last there just a month before this garbage. It had enough challenges and sounds like they just gave up the ghost after 3 years of this nonsense. Makes me so sad.
There are many such establishments that went under due to the lockdowns. There was one tavern from my college days near the beach that survived great loss because of a hurricane, and yet it didn’t make it through CoVid. Yes, there are lots of challenges even before CoVid. It’s sad to lose these places that have been around for so long.
Yes, the shutdowns had nothing to do with health or science. I wondered how Covid was ok in big box stores but not small business. So many lost their livelihoods. And kids lost out on education.
