VIDEO

If you want to see an example of the large societal change that has occurred in the USA over the past 60 years, compare the attitudes of Teamster President Jimmy Hoffa with today's barista having a meltdown over work.

And I don't think any teamsters back in Hoffa's time were concerned about being "misgendered."

To be fair, Hoffa’s definition of “work” sometimes involved planning felonies.
That barista kid is weak. But I doubt if he’s running a corrupt organization on the side.

I concur, the kid has some serious issues.

That being said, comparing Hoffa to the kid is like comparing apples and oranges. Hoffa’s work was a lot more mentally stimulating than making high priced coffee drinks. He also probably didn’t stand on his feet all day.

Hoffa was the king of his Union and its always good to be the King.

Unlike a lot of union leaders today, Hoffa actually did put in a lot of hard physical WORK in his early years.

"He left school at the age of 14 and began working in full-time manual labor jobs to help support his family."

I went to a Starbucks today. The barista wore a button that said: She/Her

I wonder if it's now company policy to have all baristas wear their pronouns.

“I went to a Starbucks today”

That was your first mistake. I wouldn’t go there to throw up.

This little wimp should be careful what he’s asking for.....wait until this snowflake finds out that a collective bargaining agreement gives management rights as well as labor.

I’ve worked in union AND non union shops......both have positives and negatives but I’d have to say the non union seemed to get more done.

Schools are suppose to prepare children to become adults (which was true in my days back in the 1950s). Today’s education system is designed to keep children children.

Instead of competition where there is a winner and loser in today’s world everyone wins a “participation” award.

They did away with all those things that built character that allowed a child to try and fail (and maybe get hurt). Even words they think are “harmful” are banned.

Now these children are in the real world and do not have the tools to survive. I pity them.

If you look at a detailed map of Starbucks locations in Miami you see none in the Little Havana area around SW 8 street. Why? Because there is no way that Starbucks could compete with the many shops in the area serving traditional Cuban coffee. Whenever I am in that area I always order a few cafecitos from those shops. And, WOW, that coffee is strong but GOOOOD!

First thing Hoffa would do with this soy-boi is cut off the kid's junk, drop it
in jar of embalming fluid. Then for Mother's Day Hoffa would have it
delivered to the kid's mom.

“did away with all those things that built character that allowed a child to try and fail (and maybe get hurt)”

Couldn’t agree more.......when monkey bars were deemed “too dangerous” I knew kids were on the road to turn out as wimps.

Playing sports and especially learning how to lose taught me life lessons that I have carried with me my whole life.

Understanding that failure is part of life and its all about how to handle that failure is a reality that a lot of kids are just too weak to deal with nowadays and the kid in this video is a perfect example.
