According to federal investigators familiar with the matter and talking to Politico, the person who brought cocaine into the White House is likely never to be discovered. It’s just too difficult to track down. There are too many people who walk around the West Wing of the White House willy nilly. That’s their story and the Top Men are sticking to it.
WASHINGTON DC – Law enforcement officials confirmed on Wednesday that cocaine was found at the White House over the weekend. But one official familiar with the investigation cautioned that the source of the drug was unlikely to be determined given that it was discovered in a highly trafficked area of the West Wing.
The small amount of cocaine was found in a cubby area for storing electronics within the West Exec basement entryway into the West Wing, where many people have authorized access, including staff or visitors coming in for West Wing tours.
Asked what the chances were of finding the culprit, the official said that “it’s gonna be very difficult for us to do that because of where it was.”
“Even if there were surveillance cameras, unless you were waving it around, it may not have been caught” by the cameras, added the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity given that it’s an ongoing investigation. “It’s a bit of a thoroughfare. People walk by there all the time.” (read more)

I think it’ll be Epstein redux, a Camera experienced a glitch.
Just hook everyone up to a polygraph and ask them. What are the chances that someone jonesing for a coke hit can beat the polygraph machine?

I bet they already know who it is, just now need to bury it. Presuming no charges or public firing,we should watch who quits or moves to a new job in the next 30 days.
In the military, we have a very easy solution to such “mysteries”. Urinalysis. Test every person with access to the space where the drug was found. If warranted, we would conduct a “command sweep” where every single sailor on the ship was tested. It’s too late by now, as the drug would be cleared by now. I guess the problem would have been the large number of positive tests for various drugs, disqualifying those people from holding security clearances...
In the military they would simply give the entire base a pop whiz quiz. No problemo. Why are Fed employees exempt.... oh yeah, unions.
Sure, a lot of people probably walk by the cubbyholes, but how many of them actually put items into or take items out of the cubbyholes? That should narrow it down to a reasonable number of people to investigate.

Even without fingerprints or DNA, if they drug test the likely person or people that had the access and opportunity to drop their drugs there, I wonder if they might match a positive drug test to this particular strain of cocaine? Presuming they have agents, investigators, and techs to spare from their Trump investigations.

I heard DOJ has sent a team to all of the Trump Hotels to check to see if any of the tags were removed from the mattresses. Charges likely.
