VIDEO

I remember air travel when I was a kid as an extremely pleasurable experience. On one air trip I travelled to the 1964 New York World's Fair where I was dazzled by images of a golden future. It got me to thinking that if air travel was already so fantastic then how incredible would it be in the future?

When I was a kid, people dressed up like civilized human beings to fly on a airplane.....

Nowadays they wear pajamas and fuzzy house shoes.............

Air travel became unfriendly following 9/11 when the government took over the process.

If your flight originated in a civilized country like Japan or Singapore, airline travel is still a pleasurable experience . . . at least until it arrives at the destination.

LOL! YUP! My first flight ever was at 13 from NYC to Paris. TWA 707 in summer of 1961. Coat and tie. Shined shoes. Lounge area near the aft IIRC. My dad was getting stationed in London with the Navy and at the time there weren’t direct flights to London so it was to Paris and then on a Super G Constellation back across the channel. Good times. Now I get the heebee jeebees just driving past the airport exit. If I never fly again that will be just fine. 🛫🛬

Yes, but you paid a high price for that pleasurable experience.

In 1960 a round trip ticket from New York to London costs $550.00.

In 2023 dollars that would be $5,700.00

If you want to pay $5,700.00 for a flight to London, you will get great service.

“Air travel became unfriendly following 9/11 when the government took over the process.”

And as usual, the irony boggles the mind. Government failure is what led to 9/11, since government “”intel”” agencies are supposed to be doing their jobs and watching out for such terrorist schemes. At least, that’s what is portrayed on all of the TV and movie terrorist-themed shows. Government agents hot on the heels of potential threats. Uh huh.

Unfortunately, we now know that the reality is... our government “”intel”” is chock full of Strzoks, Pages and McCabes... political hack @holes that allow their radically left politics to direct and dictate what they bother to “investigate”.

If the plan was:

* Government - leftists in government fail to protect the USA from attacks from without

* Government - leftists in government then swoop in to protect the USA, ultimately turning the USA into a totalitarian-dictatorship-like nation via endless ‘regulations’

* Check - Mission Accomplished by leftists in government...ie our enemy within.

And the real problem here is... this is a proven, working formula that government leftists WILL keep using. What’s to stop them?
