Again, you are using the modern concept and definition of “nation”. There are no borders defined for a “nation of Israel” in the Bible. Borders are defined for a specific LAND in the Bible, and that land is then gifted to Abraham and his descendents, who only later go on to form a nation (in the sense of a group of people). So there’s a connection between the land and the nation, but they are not the same thing.

The word nation is used in reference to Israel, which is the land promised to Abraham and his descendants in numerous places in the OT.
