Desantis couldn't have misjudged Trumps supporters than he did!
Posted on 08/07/2023 6:27:20 PM PDT by big bad easter bunny
Desantis had so much going for him, he and Florida were shinning bright during covid malarkey. He was an easy second choice if Trump couldn't be that guy. The second Desantis didn't defend Trump on bogus charges, for me he was dirt! I can't see it any other way, you are now just a political dick!

DeSantis was never anything other than a wholly owned subsidiary of the Busch Crime Family, Inc. and Tokyo Rove.
Their stink is all over him.

DeSantis is not his own man.
He’s running nothing.
His handler’s are out to bring Trump down before he destroys their criminal enterprise.
Ron gets a script in the morning with a scedule of what to say and where to say it.
The “Ron DeSantis’” campaign is a lumbering hit job.
He preps for the Sunday shows, where he can fire his toy cannon. “Bang!”

I am for Trump but these attacks on DeSantis are just silly and pathetic. He wants the top job. So he is hitting Trump where he is vulnerable, while also citing major problems with Jan 6 narrative and election fraud. Trump needs to WIN not just be handed this again. We need to see him on stage to see if he is still up to it. Vigorous debate benefits us all. If Ron isn’t up to the moment he will quickly be exposed. This isn’t a coronation.

Wow!
That puts us on opposite sides of the line.
I would have liked nothing better than to see Trump actually think strategically and reach out to DeSantis. He could have gotten with Ron early one with Ron being VP and setting up for 12 years of MAGA.
But NO .... Trump’s overly inflated ego took that dream to shreds.
I guess that makes me done with Trump.
So will you support Ron if Ron wins the nomination?
After all, the guys at CTH think the GOP will somehow rig this for DeSantis, now.

There’s been no bigger critic of the DeSantis operation than me; however, to be fair in this gotcha question – DeSantis did outline some of the numerous voting irregularities before getting to the nub of his position and saying, “Of course he lost. Joe Biden’s the president.”
Where DeSantis goes horribly wrong in his political approach is to then blame Donald Trump for the outcomes of the state decisions during the 2020 COVID election. The states run the elections, not the federal government. Ballot harvesting corruption and the fraud in the voting process was a specific regional issue albeit on a massive scale.
DeSantis has this sanctimonious streak that runs through him from top to bottom. President Trump named him accurately. The Florida governor has very few friends, and those who know him in his professional political endeavors do not find him to be a man of integrity.
Governor DeSantis is a shape shifting DeceptiCon, comfortable with false pretenses all around him. That’s why DeSantis was the perfect selection for the Astroturf, fraud and fakery that underpins the entire anti-MAGA campaign operation. It’s all fake, including the candidate.

The Florida kid jumped an Orange Shark in 2024.
Hopefully he learns a “tough lesson” and can regroup for 2028.

Let the others duke it out for the consolation prize “also ran”. Why should TRUMP debate?

Good description. Probably not too far off.

The more I see of DeepStatis, the more I dislike him. He’s not a likeable person at all.

from the beginning most populists like me knew that the republican party was trying to keep the influx of trump supporters and thought they could do it while getting rid of trump and some concepts he brought to the party that were not popular positions with party insiders. this made for a dynamic of politicians like mitch McConnel and Lindsey Grahm who try to appear supportive of MAGA but is constantly stabbing it in the back. they did the same thing to the tea party movement.

So how do we go about zotting pointless threads like this one?

No he's supporting corrupt elections and the persecution of political opponents. No one who supports those kinds of things should be respected. But then you add to that the backstabbing of the person who got him elected to begin with, that's just sleazy.

As I noted on another thread: this is a factually true statement: the SCOTUS sided with Biden; therefore Trump lost.
Period.
End of story.

He did reach out to desanctomonious, Trump got him elected. Then desanctomonious put knife in Trumps, and our backs. Now he is supporting corrupt elections and political persecution of his political opponents.
