Clearly unconstitutional and likely to be challenged, but what the heck. The Fat Man wants to be president.

Come on Lard Ass, show us how BRAVE you are. Nope, just a Fat, Stupid, and RICH Democrat Coward.

A vaccine industry responsibility act would be more in order.

Is advertising how fast and powerful your vehicles are irresponsible? Because it actually encouraging people to drive recklessly, causing thousands of accidents resulting in many, many deaths.
What about your lax drug laws that encourage people to use drugs?
Are the breweries and distilleries responsible for drunk drivers?

However, this will not stop anyone from being shot in Illinois.

Well, gun and ammunition manufacturers need to stop selling guns and ammunition to ANY police department in Illinois then.
You know they won’t tho, because they love those big government contract payouts.
Until the manufacturers take a stand and actually make states hurt for legislation such as this, they are just as bad as these legislatures.
To: PBRCat
This sounds more like a Chicagoan Responsibility Act. Prixter knows that Chicagoans are not mature or responsible enough to own and possess firearms. Sometimes liberal politicians have to protect their supporters and voters from killing each other. Chicagoans just don’t seem to be able to grow up enough to own guns.

The person holding the gun is responsible for using it appropriately.
Not the manufacturer, not the seller.
Cars, tools, medicines, food etc. are supposed to NOT kill humans when used correctly.
Guns ARE supposed to kill in situations when it is necessary.
You can't apply the same laws to both.
The only time the gun manufacturer should be held responsible is for manufacturing defects when the gun explodes, fires when not supposed to or fails to fire when it should, despite good maintenance.

The firearms industry should entirely stop all sales of firearms and ammunition to all Illinois law enforcement and other state agencies who use such.

This sems like an unconstitutional solution to a nonexistent problem. I do not recall ever seeing any gun manufacturer’s advertising that advocated killing any person for any reason at all.
