It must be nice to be Bud Light and its parent company, Anheuser-Busch InBev.
Well, it’s probably not very nice to be the face of transgenderism run amok, to see sales crater because of it, and to lose even more in terms of goodwill with your core customer base.
But it must be nice to just be able to throw untold amounts of money at your problems. (That’s not to say it’ll work … but it must be nice.)..
...As news of the new Bud Light partnership spread, so, too, did the generally negative backlash against it.
Time to boycott the UFC. https://t.co/mVEbameTIV

“Time to boycott the UFC,” one upset social media user posted, in a sentiment that started cropping up more and more on social media.
How unfortunate I have to #BoycottUFC now. No more #ppv . @ufc and @danawhite have lost my money and viewership. #BoltUp #Bolts

Earlier in the day I also had posted details of how UFC president Dana White had allowed one of his fighters (a Muhammadan from Chechnya) to make pro-Hamas statements after his fight during last Saturday night's MMA event in Abu Dhabi, even speaking (in Chechen) directly to Chechnya's head of state, asking his permission to go to Gaza and fight for Hamas:
Let me go fight for Palestine – UFC star pleads
This duplicitous Muhammadan fighter earlier had made a very soft-toned, conciliatory speech in English concerning the fighting in Israel that went out to the greater UFC audience. White and the UFC declined to include the speech he later made in the Chechen language but it was recorded and reported by non-UFC sports media nonhtheless.
Furthermore, the reason this event had to be held in Arabia was that several of the UFC's Chechen fighters are members of a fight promotion owned by the Chechen head of state, and that same head of state has been providing aid and support to Russian President Valdimir Putin's war on the Ukraine. So the US State Department has forbidden all his business interests operating on American soil, to include the members of his fight club.
So Dana White's solution is to stage the event in a country where they don't mind fighters who publicly support the extermination of the Jews.
If the UFC rates boycotting over Bud Light, what to they merit for allowing (even enabling) one of their employees advocating genocide?
UFC lost me with the ESPN partnership.
Me too. I refuse to give my $ to disney/espn.
I should start watching so I can boycott them....................
The reason all the major corporations are destroying their brand names is because they are planning on legacy US citizens being dead soon.
I don’t know. Bud light could recover, but I will never end my boycott of all Imbev products. Maybe Trans UFC fights will take off...or Drag Queen fights. Maybe they could have straight fighters beat the hell out of Drag Queens or Trans Twerks. I might watch, but no Butt Light for me.
I was never a fan to begin with.
I quit watching two price increases ago, not that I watched that many of the PPV. (Up to $79.99 now - + you have to have ESPN+ streaming).
Don’t follow UFC but it sounds like the founder is taking a huge cash payout from Bud Light before he takes a subsidiary role in a merger with WWE
Not sure what UFC is and do not care enough to search.
Meh, they probably got a really favorable deal.
Everyone has turned anti free speech so when someone allows people to speak (like in the old days) they become the enemy. I wasn’t pro free speech because I agreed with the people. That’s never been my position.

This. 100 million is real money and he knows what the future holds. He also had to be hurting for cash because they lost out on massive amounts of ticket revenue during Covid but contracts had to be paid.
The DEI stuff was a foregone conclusion after the partnership with ESPN, but none of us can predict the backlash because there are NOT as many options in the MMA arena as there are in beverages.
Gone are the days when companies focused on putting out a good, profitable product instead of delving into social or political issues with the risk of losing of a significant portion of their customer base.
Not much of a contribution to American Culture. I'd rather watch paint dry.
“This duplicitous Muhammadan fighter earlier had made a very soft-toned, conciliatory speech in English concerning the fighting in Israel that went out to the greater UFC audience.”
Not just this guy, but half the fight card were muslims, and just about everyone of them made a statement talking about how they wanted “peace”, and then mentioned “peace for Palestine, peace for the world”, etc. Not a single one of them mentioned peace for Israel or the Jews though. It was not unnoticed.
Damm. Another business I can’t boycott.
Hah...I just discovered I’ve been blocked by BudLight on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Never heard of a UFC.
They can replace the ring girls with ring "ladyboys". Have Dylvan Mulvaney walk around the ring waving a sign for the next round while he waves his ____ also.
