Can you imagine coming home to find your beloved furry friend has wreaked havoc on your home while you were away? It's a dog owner's worst nightmare. Unfortunately, this scenario has become all too common for many pet owners. A viral video compilation showcases the destructive behavior of dogs left home alone unattended, serving as a stark reminder of the importance of proper supervision and care for our canine companions.

My daughter adopted a greyhound after FL voters stopped dog racing here.
The first time she left it home alone, it sh!t EVERYWHERE, and then tracked it EVERYWHERE, including all over their new sofa. They’ve since bought a 2nd, which seems to help. But I wouldn’t have one.
At least dogs show some remorse.
Cats…don’t… care…what…you…think!!!
I knew a guy that owned a series of Beagles for hunting, and he said to me one day:
“You know why God made Beagles so damned cute? SO YOU WON’T F***ING KILL THEM!”
That one showing some kind of Beagle or mix in the remains of what was a sofa kind of made me think of that!
I know what you mean about Beagles.
Greyhounds generally just sleep on the couch all day. That dog was never trained - probably kept in a cage all the time, and just did it’s business where it was.
“Left home alone” was explained to me as the “mom” has left forever which produces extreme stress in the dog.
My two dogs remained home very mellow for 15 years until the female died. The remaining male was inconsolable for many weeks—crying whenever alone.
My daughter has four dogs. three of which were puppies when she got them. Orfcourse they did silly stuff like this.
BUT, my tiny kitten did far worse.
Instead of “The horror...the horror...” is is “The howling...the howling...”
I saw a video where a seven year old kid was teaching his fatally adorable beagle puppy how to howl, egging it on, and I thought “Kid, you might regret encouraging it to howl, but I assure you, your parents and neighbors are REALLY going to regret that!”
Just for general information, Greyhounds used for racing are crate trained, not house trained. If you adopt one you have to house train them. I also found out the hard way.
“Greyhounds generally just sleep on the couch all day. That dog was never trained - probably kept in a cage all the time, and just did it’s business where it was.”
Agree, they’re lazy as f*** is what i hear from people :-).
Yes it was always caged, untrained and always among other dogs. So the isolation is unknown to them. They are the most neurotic dogs I’ve ever met.
Personally I’m not against the racing. They’re made to RUN FAST. It’s the inhumane treatment that’s bad.
This is likely contrived, but funny...:)

They don’t need much prompting, but no need to encourage it.
Our hunting beagles were always kept outside. Never in the house.
Yours is the voice of reason, for sure. Outdoor dogs with regular jobs works for me.
Same for cats as far as I'm concerned.
Dogs have owners - cats have staff.
My brother once had a dog, large, that while he was home in the backyard came into the livingroom to discover that the dog somehow knocked over the phone. Well, he didn’t think anything of it and just hung up the phone.
My brother then sat down to watch tv, lit up a joint. Smoked a while.
The phone when it was knocked over hit the speed dial for the police. They soon showed up very alarmed. I was there. Answered the door. Naturally we did not want to let them in, already the smoke was wafting out the door their way.
Because I held the door open only a crack and they didn’t know who I was, (his sister) they found it suspicious and kept saying, ‘are you sure everything is alright’? I did keep saying yes but I think I was in some terrible situation but they could not do anything about it.
Thank heavens they left. I appreciated their concern but omg!
