While the story and the reporter are most likely fabrications, it is entertaining to consider the effect on the tone of leftist journalism here in this country should one or more of the more fanatical practitioners of leftist ‘journalism’ meet a similar fate after a rabid attack in the press on PDJT.
Yes such an individual could be punished under the many slander, calumny, or libel laws we have. But if convicted, which in and of itself is iffy considering the state of our judicial system these days, any trial and punishment would take place so far into the future that the reason would be forgotten. Meanwhile the political attack will resonate for some time before being debunked or retracted. After all, justice delayed is actually justice denied.
OTOH a painful (not necessarily fatal) repercussion delivered soon after the publishing would be noted by others of a similar mindset. We could hope that while the vile hatred for PDJT would continue to be reflected in other leftist writings, at least the subject matter will address the facts instead of being the hateful and fabricated musings of the typical leftist mind.
