Kitty Caption LX – Messin’ With The Eagle – (Humor/Meow Alerts)
19 July 2004 | PetroniDE

Posted on 07/19/2004 3:01:18 AM PDT by PetroniDE

Balrog666 gets the credit for the kitty theme this week. His pictures show a white cat trying to match wits with an American Eagle. Let’s just called it “Kitty Doesn’t Know Who He is Messing With”. I hope this is Viking Kitty training.

Oh ****, element of surprise is lost.

Oh double ****; that move didn’t work either.

Reinforcement has been called, but he doesn’t look too interested.

Many ZOT threads lately; maybe JimRob can use this guy to help with this problem.

Morning all!

First day of Maternity Leave and my 3 cats all try to kill each other, at 5 am.

1 month to go on the baby count down. YIKES!

Any suggestions on how to bring the baby home? I know the receiving blanket theory, any other suggestions?

Have a great day all!

Suzanne

4 of my grandchildren came home in an Aggie outfit - their dad is TAMU grad. The one born in December came home in a Christmas stocking, curtesy of the hospital.

Best Wishes!!!

That eagle looks really pissed off.

Kitty, on the other hand, looks nonchalant.

Kitties rule.

I wonder if your kitties will be jealous of the new baby?

Best wishes for a safe, healthy, blessed delivery!

Just went through that with my bittygirl. We have a dog and a cat. We let both get to know the nursery a little beforehand. When we brought her home, they were curious, but so far neither seems jealous. For the first month she slept in a pack-n-play bassinet in our room, nex to the bed. Now, she goes to sleep in her crib, and usually ends up in our bed nursing. Last night, she slept through the night in her crib!!! WooHoo

Ben (the cat) likes to sit in the baby bouncer and in the stroller. I also have a picture, somewhere, of him sitting in the baby swing. If I let him, he would take over the carseat too.

Best wishes to you! Our experience with babies and cats is to make sure the kitties receive extra love so they won't be jealous of baby. They have a tendency to like everything connected with the baby, crib, toys, blankets etc. One time we found one cat sleeping cheek to cheek with baby...horror of poorly trained mother (the kitties had not trained me well). They also love babyfood.

Don't have any suggestions on baby/kitty interaction, except to say best of luck with the delivery.

As for msdrby and the kitty in the baby accessories, send me a link to those pictures !!! We can have much fun with those !!!

Excellent pictures this week.
I'm amazed the eagle was sitting on the deck - I didn't think they liked to be that close to human stuff.

Thanks for sharing them with us today.

First day of Maternity Leave and my 3 cats all try to kill each other, at 5 am.

I think 5 am is the standard "run through the house hissing and yowling" muster time. At least my 3 cats seem to think so. And if that doesn't work, the 5:30 am "let's all play King of the Mountain on the Sleeping Humans" game is always fun.

Congratulations on your soon-to-be new arrival! I'm sure your cats will be ticked.

Great pictures! What a beautiful bird that is, and very tolerant of the kitties. Must be a Viking Eagle.

Weren't they afraid their cats would be eaten? Those are incredible photos! I'm stealing them, by the way.

Oh, there aren't any birds of prey here, are there?

I picked out a special newborn one piece zip-up romper to take to the hospital with me to bring home my baby. He was a bit late and it barely fit him. I kept that outfit separte from the rest of his baby things, in my own dresser as a reminder of exactly what his size was at birth. It's one of my treasures.

My two cats have one of those sleeping beds and absolutely love it (when it's not hot). It helps keep them off the furniture too.

Cute twin blanket. ;-)
