Wade Jacoby Specht's Store If you've listened to almost any type of live music around here for the last couple of decades, you've probably heard Wade Jacoby. A pianist and vocalist, Jacoby has worked with a mind-boggling array of artists, from Clay Meyers to Jay Eric & Blieders Creek, from Mesquite to Darryl Dugosh. Jacoby also turned in a long stint working solo at the Marriott on the River Walk. Though he's pursued other business interests, Jacoby is back in the music whirl with a labor of love, a CD called "The Bicycle Wreck: A Tribute to the Jacoby Brothers." In the '50s, the Jacoby Brothers, Gilbert "Boy" Jacoby and Gene Jacoby, were live radio staples and dance hall favorites. The Jacobys also released records on TNT and Columbia. Wade is Boy Jacoby's son. Boy or Gene penned the majority of the songs on "Bicycle Wreck" and they swing in that Western way. Wade Jacoby does a great job of keeping the family tradition alive and well.
Breaking News?
Ping to you, Chad. Breaking News?
Well ... have you ever heard of Wade Jacoby???
Huh??? ... Huh???
I'm thinking the next time I refresh the new posts, this one will have been removed from Breaking News.
See? I told you so.
Who?
I don't know .. it was taken out of Breaking news
Guess we'll never find out
Oh well, must not have been that important then.
It's not important that a member of Free Republic gets a plug in a major city newspaper?
I agree. It's not breaking news.
Well, I don't make the rules.
Now I did say it was a shameless plug. :-)
Really been enjoying the site. I'll send you guys a check or something to show my appreciation. I was here when CBS blew up a couple days in advance. Pretty neat.
We have two crappy papers in my town (just north of San Antonio, Bulverde). One of them is run by a RINO. He's not even a friendly RINO if you know what I mean. I'd like to publish a reply to his crap (in my own paper) but it seems a little late in the game for that at the moment.
Sincerest regards,
